This role spans the full application lifecycle, including front-end development, back-end services, APIs, cloud deployment, testing, and production support.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with strong technical fundamentals, a product-focused mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively in an Agile environment. This individual will work closely with product owners, business stakeholders, architects, DevOps, security, and peer engineering teams to deliver reliable solutions that create measurable business value.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and support full-stack applications using modern engineering practices.
- Create responsive, accessible, and reusable front-end components using contemporary web frameworks.
- Develop secure back-end services, REST APIs, integrations, data access layers, and hybrid SaaS application capabilities to support enterprise business processes.
- Contribute to cloud-native development, automated deployments, observability, and production readiness.
- Partner with product owners and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and translate business needs into practical technical solutions.
- Participate in solution design, providing input on architecture, scalability, resiliency, security, and maintainability.
- Write clean, efficient, well-tested code aligned with enterprise standards and secure coding practices.
- Support code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD adoption, and continuous improvement across the delivery lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot production and non-production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement durable fixes.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve engineering quality, automation, and delivery speed.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to project teams.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience AND 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Hands-on experience developing full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Python, TypeScript and modern front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.
- Experience designing APIs, integrating systems, and working with relational or NoSQL databases.
- Experience with cloud-based application development and deployment; AWS experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Agile delivery practices.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, design patterns, unit testing, and application security principles.
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
- Ownership mindset with a strong focus on quality, reliability, maintainability, and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrates flexibility to work concurrently across multiple initiatives and diverse technology stacks.
- Able to quickly learn new technologies and stay abreast of industry trends
- Able to support deployments and support activities outside normal business hours as needed
Preferred:
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, or similar services.
- Experience with microservices, event-driven design, or distributed application architectures.
- Knowledge of enterprise security, identity and access management, data protection, and secure SDLC practices.
- Interest in automation, AI-enabled engineering practices, or emerging developer productivity tools.
- Experience with AWS Kiro or OpenAI Codex.
What Success Looks Like
- Delivers high-quality features that meet business needs and production standards.
- Builds secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions while reducing technical debt.
- Collaborates effectively across product, engineering, architecture, DevOps, security, and business teams.
- Owns work from design through implementation, testing, deployment, and support.
- Improves engineering practices, automation, application reliability, and team delivery outcomes.
