The focus will be on strengthening alignment, streamlining communication and creating a more connected, scalable approach while allowing for the flexibility needed within individual Delivery Units and therapeutic areas. This person will also support other Global Development divisions on an as-needed basis.

You will be responsible for:

  • Partnering with Cross-DU Business Operations and Delivery Unit leaders to develop integrated business operations communication plans that advance shared priorities and support coordinated execution.
  • Providing strategic communications counsel and execution support to all Delivery Unit Heads and their leadership teams for business priorities, leadership engagement and other communications needs.
  • Working directly with senior leaders to understand their needs and develop integrated strategic communications plans.
  • Strengthening alignment across Delivery Units by connecting business priorities, anticipating communications needs and coordinating messaging, planning and engagement activities, while balancing consistency with the unique needs of each Delivery Unit.
  • Translating complex business operations priorities across people, processes and portfolio into clear, actionable content for leaders, people managers and employees.
  • Developing high-quality content across channels, including articles, newsletters, town halls, leadership memos, executive communications, Slack and video scripts.
  • Preparing messaging, briefing materials, talking points and meeting content that support leadership alignment and reinforce shared priorities and ways of working.
  • Coordinating communications and engagement for cross-DU initiatives.
  • Supporting adoption of unified frameworks, new capabilities and scalable practices, including organizational change, employee listening and after-action reviews.
  • Planning and delivering cross-DU town halls, leadership forums and other engagement opportunities that strengthen business alignment, information sharing and connection across Delivery Units.
  • Establishing practical metrics and feedback mechanisms to assess effectiveness and continuously improve communications and engagement.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Business, Organizational Development or a related field.
  • 8-10+ years of experience in communications, business operations, strategy execution, organizational change or a related role, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in translating complex business information into clear, meaningful communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex business and operational topics into clear, leader-ready and employee-relevant content.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as an integrator across teams, connect interdependent work, influence and align stakeholders across a global, matrixed organization, and bring forward thoughtful recommendations that challenge assumptions and advance decision-making.
  • Strong planning, coordination and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong editorial content development and editing skills, with experience producing executive communications and multi-channel content.
  • Ability to balance enterprise consistency with the needs of individual business units, functions or therapeutic areas.
  • Experience supporting organizational transformation, adoption of new ways of working and behavior change in large, complex organizations, including communicating sensitive information.
  • Strategic thinker with a practical, execution-focused approach and the ability to identify opportunities to simplify, standardize and scale.
