About this job
Amazon University Talent Acquisition is investing in technology and process transformation to reshape how we recruit early career talent — and we need a senior leader to help drive that change. As a Senior Manager, Program Management, you will lead a team of coordinators and program managers through a period of meaningful operational transformation. Your work will directly improve the candidate experience from interview through offer and preboarding, reduce administrative burden for recruiters, and make the process simpler for hiring managers. You will set strategy, implement technology-driven process improvements, and build the operational rigor that keeps university recruiting aligned with Amazon's business priorities. If you are a self-starter who is energized by leading teams through change and delivering measurable improvements at scale, we want to hear from you.
Key job responsibilities
- Set the strategic direction for operational excellence across university recruiting, defining goals and priorities that align recruiting processes with business customers' needs.
- Lead and develop a team of coordinators and program managers, building an inclusive culture and establishing clear career development paths and onboarding standards.
- Drive technology implementation and process transformation within the recruiting lifecycle, improving efficiency and candidate experience from interview scheduling through preboarding.
- Partner with recruiting teams, hiring managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify process gaps, remove administrative bottlenecks, and deliver scalable solutions.
- Establish operational mechanisms and metrics to inspect program health, mitigate risks proactively, and ensure consistent delivery against quality and efficiency targets.
A day in the life
You might start your morning reviewing operational metrics for your team's workflows and preparing a narrative for an upcoming leadership review. Mid-morning, you work with your managers on rolling out a new technology tool that streamlines a core recruiting process. After lunch, you hold a one-on-one with a direct report to discuss their team's development and an emerging risk on a process rollout. Later, you connect with recruiting partners to align on priorities for the upcoming hiring season, then close out the day reviewing a proposal to simplify a step in the offer-to-preboarding experience.
