About this job

About Campus

Campus is on a mission to accelerate the talent of tomorrow and reimagine what college can (and should) be. The problem is clear: college costs have skyrocketed, but outcomes haven’t. Traditional college hasn’t kept up with the aspirations of today’s students—and they can’t afford to wait.

At Campus, we’ve built a two-year, accredited college where students learn from top professors at universities like Princeton, Stanford, and Howard, in live, online classes. Our students graduate with in-demand business and AI skills—ready to launch their careers or transfer to top four-year universities. Our unique approach is grounded in a pioneering technology platform and a heavily-researched student success model that offers students dedicated advisors and on-demand tutoring and coaching. We were also named one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies of 2024.

We’re backed by an exceptional investor team that believes deeply in our vision for the future of education, including General Catalyst, Founders Fund, Bloomberg Beta, 8VC, Rethink Education, Sam Altman, Jason Citron, Shaquille O’Neal, and others.

The world has changed. Higher ed needs to catch up, and we’re leading the way - come join us!

About the role

As a Senior Product Manager, Core Systems you'll own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of the internal systems that power Campus's business operations, and support the company to scale 10x over the coming years. This includes the roadmap for all financial aid and tuition management, to academic scheduling and program delivery.

We're at an exciting inflection point. As Campus scales, the systems that got us here need to evolve to support what's next. You'll lead the development of scalable, flexible products that streamline operational and revenue workflows, unlock new ways to serve students, and drive meaningful business outcomes.

You'll work closely with our Finance, Business Operations, and Academic Operations teams to tackle challenging problems at the intersection of technology, education, and business operations.

We're looking for a strategic, technically fluent product leader who thrives on solving complex operational problems, understands the business implications of product decisions, and knows how to build systems that scale. You'll have the opportunity to shape the infrastructure behind a rapidly growing business and directly influence our ability to make high-quality education more accessible and affordable.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the internal products and systems that power Campus's financial and academic operations, with direct accountability for business outcomes like gross margin and revenue per student.

  • Build and scale our financial ops platform across financial aid, government funding, tuition, payments, and revenue operations, built for 10x the volume.

  • Scale our scheduling and program management to support an expanding portfolio of degrees, learning modalities, and student needs while optimizing operational efficiency and resource utilization.

  • Solve complex problems at the intersection of scale, flexibility, and profitability, balancing the needs of students, internal teams, and the business as Campus grows.

  • Partner closely with Business Operations, Finance, Engineering, and Design to deeply understand operational workflows, identify opportunities for automation, and translate complex business requirements into intuitive, scalable products.

  • Drive rigorous, data-informed product decisions, establishing clear success metrics, evaluating tradeoffs, and measuring the impact of your work on operational efficiency, revenue, and gross margin.

  • Leverage AI, automation, and modern product development tools to simplify complex workflows, improve operational efficiency, and accelerate how we build and deliver products.

We're excited about you because…

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with a track record of building and scaling complex software products that drive measurable business outcomes.

  • Demonstrated experience scaling systems through significant growth, whether supporting a 2-3x increase in users, transaction volume, operational complexity, or business scale.

  • Strong understanding of internal operations and workflow-driven products, such as CRMs, financial platforms, ERP systems, or other business-critical tools.

  • Exceptional analytical skills and a rigorous approach to measurement, with the ability to connect product decisions to financial and operational outcomes.

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to make thoughtful tradeoffs, balancing speed, scalability, technical complexity, and long-term business value.

  • Technical fluency and systems thinking, with the ability to collaborate closely with engineers on complex integrations, data flows, system architecture, and platform scalability.

  • Strong customer empathy, with an ability to understand the needs of both internal stakeholders and external users and build products that serve them effectively.

  • Low ego, high EQ, and exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across technical and nontechnical teams.

  • A bias toward ownership and outcomes, with the judgment to know when to move quickly, when to invest in long-term solutions, and how to communicate those decisions effectively.

What you’ll get:
