About this job

Veeva Systems is a mission-driven organization and pioneer in industry cloud, helping life sciences companies bring therapies to patients faster. As one of the fastest-growing SaaS companies in history, we surpassed $3B in revenue in our last fiscal year with extensive growth potential ahead.

At the heart of Veeva are our values: Do the Right Thing, Customer Success, Employee Success, and Speed. We're not just any public company – we made history in 2021 by becoming a public benefit corporation (PBC), legally bound to balancing the interests of customers, employees, society, and investors.

As a Work Anywhere company, we support your flexibility to work from home or in the office, so you can thrive in your ideal environment.

Join us in transforming the life sciences industry, committed to making a positive impact on its customers, employees, and communities.

The Role

Veeva Vault PromoMats is the industry-leading platform that life sciences companies rely on to manage the full lifecycle of promotional content, and digital asset management (DAM) is how customers store, find, reuse, and distribute the approved assets behind every campaign. We are looking for an experienced product manager to own and grow Veeva's DAM capabilities, making our customers' brand, marketing operations, commercial, and medical affairs teams more efficient and productive.

In this role, you will own the product strategy and roadmap for DAM capabilities, such as asset ingestion and metadata, search and discovery, rights and usage management, content reuse, and multichannel distribution. You will work closely with Engineering, UX, and customers to identify high-impact problems, define requirements, and ship solutions that balance ease of use with the rigor demanded by a highly regulated industry.

What You'll Do

  • Product Strategy & AI: Own the vision, strategy, and multi-release roadmap for DAM, including where AI capabilities such as auto-tagging, semantic search, and generative variations fit, balancing customer demand, market trends, and the realities of design and engineering
  • Customer Discovery: Engage directly with brand, marketing operations, creative and agency, medical, and regulatory teams at life sciences companies to understand how they create, organize, find, reuse, and distribute assets, and translate those insights into prioritized product requirements
  • Measurement & Impact: Define and track the metrics that prove customer value, such as asset reuse rates, time to find and publish an approved asset, metadata completeness, and feature adoption, and use them to guide the next set of investments
  • Feature Definition & Delivery: Write clear specifications and partner with Engineering, UX, and QA through design, build, and release to ship capabilities that meet the scalability and quality standards of the Veeva Vault platform
  • Governance & Automation: Deliver capabilities that reduce manual effort across the asset lifecycle, such as automated metadata extraction, rendition and format management, rights and expiration tracking, and approved-asset distribution to downstream channels, while preserving the auditability regulated customers require
  • Cross-Product & Go-to-Market Alignment: Partner with product teams across Vault, including PromoMats MLR review and claims, to deliver connected experiences, and enable Sales, Services, and Support with the positioning, demos, and documentation needed to bring releases to market

Requirements

  • 5+ years of enterprise software product management, engineering, or consulting experience
  • 2+ years of hands-on focus on digital asset management (DAM), content management, or creative production platforms
  • Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of how DAM systems are built, including metadata models and taxonomies, rendition and transcoding, APIs and integrations, and the application of AI/ML, such as auto-tagging, semantic search, and Generative AI, to asset workflows
  • Architectural Knowledge: Understanding of content and asset architecture, including storage and delivery, versioning, permissions and rights management, and integration with content management, work management, and distribution channels
  • Communication: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value for non-technical stakeholders in Marketing, Creative, Legal, Medical, and Regulatory departments
  • Collaboration: Proven track record of working with UX and Engineering to build intuitive tools for complex workflows
  • Marketing Acumen: Experience in Marketing or Marketing Operations, or building products for marketing teams, with a working understanding of how brand strategy, campaign planning, and content production come together
  • Marketing Process Fluency: Familiarity with the methodologies brand teams run on, creative and campaign briefs, agency and studio workflows, brand guidelines and governance, modular content and content supply chain models, omnichannel distribution, and launch readiness

Nice to Have

  • Domain Expertise: Direct experience with Veeva Vault PromoMats or a leading DAM platform (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager Assets, Aprimo, Bynder)
  • Life Sciences Experience: Familiarity with MLR review processes, 2253 submissions, or Medical Information (MedInfo) workflows
  • Rich Media & Creative Workflows: Experience with image, video, and other creative file formats, proofing and review tools, and agency or studio handoffs
  • Brand & Launch Experience: Hands-on involvement in brand strategy, brand or product launch planning, or global campaign rollout, including the content, claims, and approval cycles that support a launch
  • Marketing Technology: Working knowledge of the martech stack brand teams use alongside DAM, including content and experience platforms (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager, Aprimo, Sitecore), marketing work management (e.g., Adobe Workfront, Asana, Monday), marketing automation and CRM (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, Veeva CRM, Vault CRM), and campaign analytics tools
