Senior Product Manager: Extensible Compute

At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don't just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset, rapidly testing emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.

Snowflake is about empowering enterprises to achieve their full potential, and people too. With a culture that's all in on impact, innovation, and collaboration, Snowflake is the sweet spot for building big, moving fast, and taking technology and careers to the next level.

We are hiring a Senior Product Manager for our Extensible Compute team, which builds Snowpark Container Services (SPCS). SPCS is the compute platform that runs customer container workloads and Snowflake's own first-party products, including Openflow, Notebooks, Streamlit, and AI agents. You will own the product for that platform: which compute we offer, how reliably and cheaply it runs, and how partner teams and customers get what they need without a one-off every time.

AS A SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:

  • Own the SPCS product roadmap and ship it. That includes the compute instance portfolio across AWS, Azure, and GCP (general-purpose CPU, ARM, and GPU, including new Nvidia generations), and the storage and file system capabilities workloads depend on.

  • Turn requests from first-party product partners into platform capabilities. When Openflow, Notebooks, Streamlit, or an agent team needs a new instance, a networking change, or multi-cluster support, you decide what becomes a standard SPCS feature and what stays a one-off.

  • Take features from early preview to general availability. You set the launch bar, hold a release when security, reliability, or unit economics are not ready, and work the path through PrPr and PuPr with engineering. Work credibly with senior engineers on architecture, performance, reliability, and cost.

  • Own platform health that customers feel: startup time, isolation, storage reliability, and the unit economics of running a workload on SPCS. You partner with Finance on pricing ($/GiB, instance pricing) when the model has to change.

  • Be the product point of contact for our infrastructure partners (AWS, Azure, GCP, Nvidia) on the SPCS compute roadmap, and for account teams qualifying strategic customers onto SPCS.

  • Use AI as part of how you work: customer and partner synthesis, specs, launch reviews, and the analysis behind a prioritization call.

OUR IDEAL SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER WILL HAVE:

  • 5+ years of product management experience, including several years on a platform, infrastructure, or developer-facing product, or equivalent experience owning a technical product end to end.

  • Hands-on depth in at least one of: cloud infrastructure, container or serverless platforms, developer runtimes, or distributed systems. You can hold a design review with senior engineers and leave with a decision.

  • A track record of taking a platform capability from 0 to 1 or from early adoption to scale, across engineering and at least one partner team (product, GTM, or a cloud/hardware partner).

  • Evidence you can say no. You have turned a pile of bespoke asks into a smaller set of reusable capabilities, and you can show what you cut and why.

  • Clear writing and crisp communication with engineering leads, partner PMs, finance, and account teams. You do not need a slide to make the point.

  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience.

BONUS POINTS

  • Direct experience with a container platform, Kubernetes-based service, or serverless compute product that customers run production workloads on.

  • Experience qualifying or launching GPU or accelerated compute instances, or working a hardware/CSP roadmap (Nvidia, AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Experience supporting data, AI, or developer workloads on a shared platform (orchestration, notebooks, apps, agents).

  • Familiarity with unit economics for compute or storage: instance pricing, $/GiB, or cost-to-serve for a multi-tenant platform.

WHY JOIN OUR EXTENSIBLE COMPUTE TEAM AT SNOWFLAKE?

SPCS is the compute layer under a large and growing set of Snowflake workloads. A good call on an instance type, a filesystem, or a launch gate shows up in more than one product. You will work directly with the engineers who build it, the product partners who depend on it, and the customers bringing container workloads onto Snowflake.

Customers want to run their own services, pipelines, and models inside Snowflake's governance boundary, and Snowflake's own products need the same platform to get faster, cheaper, and more capable. You will have a concrete surface to own, a roadmap you can ship against, and visibility into how this platform is used across the company.

Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake.
