About the Role:

We are hiring a Senior Product Manager to own Logistics, Transportation and Global Trade Management on the Avathon platform. Our customers need to know where their parts and shipments are, when they will really arrive, what they will cost to move and clear, and what happens to production when they are late. We bring together data from TMS platforms, carriers, EDI feeds, ERP and MES, model it in our Computational Knowledge Graph, and use AI agents to predict delays, manage exceptions and automate trade compliance. Your job is to turn this into a product with a clear roadmap. This is a product management role in Product Engineering, not a customer delivery role.

You Will

  • Product Strategy and Roadmap

    • Own the vision, roadmap and priorities for shipment visibility, ETA prediction, carrier management, load optimization and global trade compliance
    • Know the market. Understand Oracle OTM, Blue Yonder, Manhattan, SAP TM, e2open, project44 and FourKites, and where an AI-native approach that ties logistics to production impact wins
    • Decide what is core product, what is a connector and what stays as customer configuration
    • Define how logistics connects to Planning, PLM and asset maintenance on the platform

    Transportation and Trade Capabilities

    • Define requirements across the shipment lifecycle: booking, tendering, tracking, proof of delivery and freight audit
    • Own carrier onboarding, rating and routing, and FTL/LTL load optimization across road, rail, ocean and air
    • Drive EDI (204, 214, 990, 997) and carrier API integrations and carrier collaboration workflows
    • Define trade compliance features: HTS classification, duty and tariff calculation, denied party screening, export controls, FTA qualification and duty drawback

    Customer Discovery and Execution

    • Spend real time with logistics, transportation and trade compliance teams at customer sites
    • Turn requests from deployments into reusable product requirements
    • Write clear requirements and acceptance criteria and run release reviews with the engineering lead
    • Track adoption and value, such as ETA accuracy, expedite cost, freight spend and on-time-to-production
    • Work with sales and marketing on positioning, pricing input and launches

You'll Have

  • 8+ years in product management, with at least 4 years owning a transportation, logistics, visibility or trade management product
  • Experience at a vendor such as Oracle (OTM or GTM), Blue Yonder, Manhattan Associates, SAP TM, e2open, Descartes, project44 or FourKites, or leading logistics systems at a large manufacturer
  • Deep understanding of TMS, shipment lifecycle management, carrier operations and multimodal freight
  • Working knowledge of EDI and logistics data exchange and how shipment data flows into ERP and MES
  • Experience shipping AI or ML driven features such as predictive ETA, anomaly detection or route optimization; agentic logistics workflows are a strong plus
  • Knowledge of global trade compliance (HTS, denied party screening, export controls, FTA, duty drawback) is a strong plus
  • Strong written communication and the ability to work across engineering, sales and customers
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain or a related field. MBA or MS is a plus
