At the heart of Veeva are our values: Do the Right Thing, Customer Success, Employee Success, and Speed. Join us in transforming the life sciences industry, committed to making a positive impact on its customers, employees, and communities.
The Role
Veeva-Ostro builds the AI-powered engagement platform behind some of pharma's most innovative brand experiences — conversational virtual navigators, personalized content journeys, and omnichannel tools that give patients and HCPs real-time, accurate answers. As a Senior Program Manager on our Implementation/Professional Services team, you'll own the end-to-end quality of every deliverable, from client-facing designs and content matrices through PRC submission to pre-launch QA of the live tool, while developing the processes and leading the team of contractor editors who bring each build to life. It's a chance to bring deep pharma marketing editorial expertise into a fast-moving SaaS/tech environment at the center of how the industry is reinventing patient and HCP engagement.
What You'll Do
- Review and QA project deliverables, including tool designs and the content library/matrix, for accuracy, consistency, and compliance before they move into client review
- Guide deliverables through client review and PRC submission, ensuring thorough, accurate editorial review at every round
- Conduct pre-launch QA testing of the built tool against PRC-approved materials, including content checks and functionality testing
- Develop, document, and maintain quality processes, checklists, and best practices for the medical editor team
- Manage resourcing across a team of contractor medical editors: assigning, coordinating, and delegating review and QA tasks across active projects
- Partner with stakeholders across the Implementation and Customer Success teams including project managers, copywriters, developers, and customer success managers to ensure successful delivery across projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, English, journalism, communications, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in medical/scientific editing, ideally within a life sciences marketing agency, medical communications agency, or pharmaceutical company, with direct experience editing pharma brand marketing or patient/HCP-facing digital content
- Proven experience guiding content through Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) or PRC review and incorporating client and reviewer feedback across multiple submission rounds
- Excellent attention to detail, with strong factchecking, proofreading, and reference/citation verification skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain editorial processes and QA procedures
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have
- Demonstrated experience mentoring, coaching, or managing editorial staff or contractors, with the ability to coordinate and delegate work across a team
- Experience with digital routing, document-control, or content management platforms (e.g., Veeva Vault, Ziflow, SharePoint)
- Background in scientific research (e.g., PhD or postdoctoral experience in a life sciences field) with a transition into medical writing, editing, or communications
- Familiarity with omnichannel or digital patient/HCP engagement tools
- People-management experience leading a team of editors or contractors
