About this job

At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.

About the Marketplace team:

Snowflake Marketplace serves as the vibrant hub which enables customers to do more with data. We are building a platform that empowers organizations to seamlessly discover, access, and build with valuable datasets, cutting-edge applications, and intelligent AI agents.

We are rethinking the architecture and reimagining the user experience to build a best-in-class product that scales to meet the demands of our global customer and partner ecosystem. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about creating exceptional user experiences and driving customer value. This is a high-impact role where you will have a direct impact on the product and the opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

AS A SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER YOU WILL:

  • Design, develop, and deliver features across our full stack that have a direct impact on our customers and partners.

  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver end-to-end features.

  • Build robust and high-performance systems to support the Marketplace platform

  • Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code, while contributing to a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Be a strong contributor to the overall product and technical direction of the area

OUR IDEAL SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER WILL HAVE:

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a track record of shipping customer-facing features on production systems.

  • A strong foundation in full-stack development from frontend to backend using technologies like Java, Python, Golang and React/Typescript

  • A genuine passion for building customer-facing products and a drive to solve problems that create real value for users.

  • A strong understanding of core computer science concepts and web application architecture, including security, performance, and scalability.

AS A SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER YOU WILL:

  • Build and own end-to-end full-stack features — from polished checkout and billing UIs to the backend services that process, validate, and settle marketplace transactions at scale

  • Design and implement robust backend APIs and services in Java or Python that handle the lifecycle of commercial transactions: entitlements, AI usage metering, invoicing, and payment orchestration

  • Develop reusable, accessible component libraries and systems that give buyers and sellers clear visibility into usage, spend, and revenue — working closely with design to deliver intuitive experiences

  • Contribute to the reliability, correctness, and observability of high-stakes transactional pipelines — including fraud prevention, idempotency guarantees, and audit logging

  • Collaborate with product, operations, and Billing teams to model and evolve the data schemas and APIs that underpin Snowflake’s Marketplace.

  • Participate actively in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning; raise the bar for engineering quality across the Monetization team

  • Identify gaps in test coverage, monitoring, and operational tooling for transactional workflows and drive improvements proactively

Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake.
