  • Use Azure platform services to support secure, scalable, and highly available integration solutions.
  • Implement structured logging, metrics, tracing, and operational diagnostics to improve system observability.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production services using Azure Application Insights and Kusto Query Language (KQL).
  • Develop automated unit and integration tests with Jest and maintain meaningful test coverage for critical integration paths.
  • Automate build, test, deployment, and infrastructure workflows using GitHub Actions and Terraform.
  • Contribute to technical design decisions, documentation, code reviews, incident resolution, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields required.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in a similar function.
  • Significant professional experience developing software with TypeScript and Node.js.
  • Hands-on experience designing and supporting middleware, API, or enterprise integration solutions.
  • Practical experience with Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure API Management.
  • Experience integrating enterprise applications and third-party or external-provider APIs.
  • Proficiency with automated testing, including Jest or a comparable JavaScript or TypeScript testing framework.
  • Experience creating CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or similar tools.
  • Working knowledge of Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Experience with application logging, monitoring, Application Insights, and KQL-based troubleshooting.
  • Ability to produce clear technical designs, communicate tradeoffs, and support services through their full lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with API security, authentication, authorization, rate limiting, and integration reliability patterns.
  • Familiarity with Azure networking, identity, messaging, storage, and secrets-management services.
  • Experience improving deployment safety, observability, test automation, or operational support for distributed systems.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Creative problem solver, with strong analytical skills.
  • Collaborative aptitude and experience working in a fast paced, ever-evolving environment.
  • Technical leadership experience on medium and large-scale initiatives is desired.
  • Experience working with agile/scrum methodology required.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize work, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across a variety of audiences, both technical and nontechnical.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with software engineers, architects, product partners, security specialists, and operations teams.
  • A pragmatic approach to solving complex integration problems while keeping solutions understandable and maintainable.
