Position Summary
Sleep Number is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and supply chain applications to design, build, support, and optimize highly customized enterprise solutions. In this role, you will own integrations between Oracle and other business systems, including complex asset and order integrations. Your work will focus on understanding how data, transactions, and business processes move across our systems within an environment where solutions extend well beyond standard, out-of-the-box functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and support integrations between Oracle EBS and internal or third-party systems, with particular focus on asset and order integration flows.
- Serve as a senior technical resource for Oracle EBS supply chain solutions, especially Order Management, Purchasing, and Inventory.
- Analyze end-to-end business processes and system interactions to determine how orders, assets, inventory, purchasing data, and related transactions should move across applications.
- Develop and maintain custom interfaces, APIs, reports, extensions, workflows, data conversions, and integration services in a heavily customized Oracle environment.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical designs while balancing reliability, maintainability, performance, security, and data integrity.
- Partner with functional teams, business stakeholders, architects, and other engineers to troubleshoot complex issues and deliver enhancements.
- Lead root-cause analysis for production incidents involving integrations, supply chain transactions, and cross-system data synchronization.
- Develop solutions using PL/SQL and related Oracle technologies; apply strong SQL, debugging, testing, and performance-tuning practices.
- Support the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, technical design, development, code review, testing, deployment, documentation, and production support.
- Provide technical leadership, establish engineering standards, and mentor other developers on Oracle EBS customization and integration patterns.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields, or equivalent experience required
- Significant software engineering or applications development experience supporting Oracle E-Business Suite in a complex enterprise environment.
- Advanced hands-on experience with Oracle EBS Order Management (OM), Purchasing, and Inventory modules.
- Demonstrated experience designing, building, and supporting integrations between Oracle and other enterprise systems.
- Strong understanding of integration architecture, interface design, APIs, web services, data mappings, error handling, reconciliation, and monitoring.
- Strong PL/SQL and SQL development skills, including experience with troubleshooting and performance optimization.
- Working knowledge of supply chain processes and dependencies across order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory, fulfillment, and planning.
- Experience supporting highly customized solutions where standard Oracle functionality has been extended or replaced.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to business and technical audiences and independently drive complex work to resolution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience across additional Oracle supply chain modules, including Oracle Fusion Supply Planning.
- Hands-on Oracle Fusion Cloud experience; Fusion integration or implementation experience is highly desirable.
- Experience with Oracle Application Express (APEX).
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management System (WMS) processes or modules.
- Familiarity with Siebel and integrations between Siebel, Oracle, and other enterprise platforms.
- Experience with asset lifecycle, order orchestration, or related cross-application integration patterns.
