About this job
About Mercor
Mercor's mission is to organize human intelligence to power the AI economy. We're a leading AI data company, building the layer between human expertise and frontier models. Millions of domain experts on the platform are paid over $4 million per day to train frontier AI models. Mercor's APEX benchmark family measures AI's real-world impact on professional work. Mercor Enterprise brings this same infrastructure to Fortune 500 companies: helping companies capture how their best people actually work, translating that expertise directly back into agents.
Mercor is creating a new category of work where expertise powers AI advancement. Achieving this requires an ambitious, fast-paced and deeply committed team. You’ll work alongside researchers, operators, and AI companies at the forefront of shaping the systems that are redefining society. Mercor is a profitable Series C company valued at $10 billion. We work in-person five days a week in our San Francisco, NYC, or London offices.
About the Role
Procurement at Mercor isn’t a back-office function—it’s a strategic lever for scaling one of the world’s largest AI-powered expert networks.
As a Senior Sourcing Manager, Technology, you’ll lead commercial sourcing and negotiations across a broad portfolio of technology, AI, infrastructure, and business-critical vendors. Partnering closely with Engineering, Security, Product, Finance, Legal, and Operations, you’ll help the business adopt new technologies quickly, negotiate commercial frameworks that scale with our growth, and ensure our supplier ecosystem is a competitive advantage.
This is a highly visible role with significant ownership. You’ll independently lead negotiations ranging from tactical purchases to multi-million-dollar strategic agreements. Your work will directly influence how quickly Mercor can adopt new technologies, scale its AI platform and expert network, and build durable commercial advantages.
What You'll Do
Lead end-to-end sourcing and commercial negotiations across software, AI, cloud, infrastructure, security, developer tools, and business services.
Partner with stakeholders across Engineering, Security, Product, Finance, Legal, IT, and Operations to deliver commercial outcomes that enable the business to move quickly and scale efficiently.
Structure commercial agreements that balance speed, flexibility, cost, and long-term business value.
Independently negotiate agreements ranging from tactical purchases to $1M+ strategic vendor relationships.
Own competitive sourcing events, pricing strategy, contract negotiations, renewals, and supplier relationships.
Provide market insights and commercial guidance to influence vendor and investment decisions.
Help build scalable procurement processes that enable growth without creating friction.
What We're Looking For
7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, vendor management, or commercial negotiations.
Proven experience negotiating complex software, SaaS, cloud, AI, infrastructure, or technology agreements, including $1M+ strategic deals.
Strong commercial judgment with the ability to structure creative, win-win agreements.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills and experience partnering with Engineering, Security, Product, Finance, and Legal teams.
Strong analytical, financial, and negotiation skills.
A builder’s mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Passion for creating commercial frameworks that help the business move faster and scale smarter.
