About this job
Do you want to build the next generation of Agentic AI developer and operations tools?
We are the AWS DevOps Agent Chat team under the Agentic AI DevOps organization. We're building intelligent DevOps assistance through Agentic Chat that transforms how customers interact with their AWS DevOPS Agent space or AWS infrastructure. Our AI teammate is always available, understands context across investigations, provides real-time insights, and helps prevent incidents before they occur.
As a Software Development Engineer on our team, you'll work directly with Large Language Models (LLMs) and build agents that enhance customer experiences at scale. You will leverage your deep technical expertise to design and deliver reliable, scalable, and highly performant AI systems. You'll work extensively with AWS Agent Core, Amazon Bedrock, prompt engineering techniques, and agentic solutions while collaborating closely with Applied Scientists and AI experts. You will build rapid prototypes and proofs of concept in partnership with technology leaders across the team, tackling challenging, novel problems every day alongside multiple technical teams at AWS.
We are looking for a talented Software Development Engineer with a strong technical background, customer obsession, and bias for action. You should have a proven track record of delivering robust solutions quickly. Strong judgment and communication skills, long-term technical vision, and relentless focus on engineering and operational excellence are essential for success in this role. You will demonstrate technical proficiency, mentor and grow junior engineers, champion software development best practices, and iterate quickly to deliver results.
We foster a collaborative environment where innovation thrives and technical excellence is the standard. Every team member has the opportunity to shape the future of AI-powered DevOps while maintaining work-life balance and pursuing continuous learning.

- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams across Amazon to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
- Solve broadly defined problems by designing and coding the right solutions with sound technical judgment.
- Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software quickly while maintaining engineering excellence.
