Software Developer – Database Administrator – Senior

Purpose and Impact:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer/Database Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of software development experience with a strong background in cloud technologies and database administration.

Work Schedule: M- F 40 hours a week

Essential Responsibilities:

• Capacity planning.

• Supporting implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. -Managing IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.

•  Providing support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client problems.

• Performing server and storage capacity management and planning for the most complex and critical systems.

• Recommending and implementing process and tool improvements to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization's change management and configuration management processes and systems

• Managing, monitoring, and administering database system performance and schedule activities.

• Performing optimization and tuning of data loads and extractions. -Installing and configure database environments and associated storage systems.

• Performing backups/restores, and archive data.

•  Designing, Developing, and Maintaining database applications within the cloud environment for new applications development or the transition of legacy applications to the cloud environment.

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

• Knowledge/Skills -

• Experience interpreting data models and developing database structures; using standard diagramming techniques to design and develop computer data models; and implementing and troubleshooting programming changes and modifications.

• DBA support of SQLServer and Postgres databases

• Knowledge of security requirements for databases, developing, documenting, and implementing backup and recovery procedures. - managing the databases for high availability

• Experience configuring, managing and maintaining the operation of complex relational databases; familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.

• Experience monitoring critical systems.

Technical Knowledge:

• Data base management system software — Database management software; Microsoft SQL Server

• Development environment software — C#, Microsoft Visual Basic

Clearance Required:  

• TS/SCI with Poly

Minimum Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Compensation Details:

$225,000 - $235,000
