Senior Client Solutions Consultant Job Description

Position Title: Senior Client Solutions Consultant
Department: National Client Support Services / Wealth Management Operations
Reports To: Onboarding Manager or designated Wealth Management Operations leader
Role Type: Individual Contributor / Subject Matter Expert

Position Summary:

The Senior Client Solutions Consultant is the client-facing coordination owner for complex client onboarding and transition events. This role brings together intake, documentation, account-opening, funding and asset movement, fee setup, status communication, issue resolution, and final handoff into one coordinated experience. The Senior Client Solutions Consultant works closely with clients, front office teams, NCSS onboarding partners, funding teams, operations, risk/control partners, and subject matter experts to deliver a transparent, consistent, and well-controlled onboarding experience from intake to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary coordination owner for assigned complex onboarding and transition events from intake through completion, providing one clear point of contact for status and follow-up.
  • Engage directly with clients and relationship teams to understand onboarding requirements, coordinate information and documentation needs, and facilitate progress throughout the onboarding process.
  • Assess client, account, product, documentation, funding, fee, tax cost, and risk considerations to determine required workstreams and subject matter expert involvement.
  • Coordinate product specific onboarding paths across Trust, Banking, Brokerage, Funding, AML/KYC, Investment, Fee, Tax Cost, Statement Review, and other specialty teams as needed.
  • Monitor onboarding milestones, identify potential delays, and proactively escalate issues that may impact client experience, processing timelines, or operational readiness.
  • Partner with relationship teams to clarify requirements, reduce duplicate asks, and support clear communication with clients when appropriate.
  • Track funding and asset transfer activity, including ACAT, DTC, non-ACAT, cash funding, prior custodian follow-up, settlement timing, and outstanding asset issues.
  • Review documentation and intake submissions for completeness and consistency to help prevent Not In Good Order items, rework, and avoidable processing delays.
  • Facilitate onboarding review meetings, pipeline discussions, and recurring status checkpoints with applicable business, operations, and support teams.
  • Maintain transparent status reporting for stakeholders, including open items, owner assignments, target dates, escalations, and completion readiness.
  • Confirm account opening, coding, funding, fee setup, and service handoff activities are complete before closing the transition event.
  • Document lessons learned, recurring issues, process gaps, and improvement opportunities to support playbook updates, training enhancements, and future operating model improvements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in wealth management, client onboarding, trust or banking operations, client servicing, account opening, or related financial services operations.
  • Strong understanding of onboarding workflows, documentation requirements, operational handoffs, and client servicing standards.
  • Ability to lead multiple complex, cross-product onboarding events simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, urgency, and risk awareness.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate across front office, middle office, back office, and subject matter expert teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide clear status updates and explain complex requirements in a practical manner.
  • Proficiency with workflow tools, case management systems, Microsoft Office applications, and shared tracking mechanisms.
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-through, judgment, and ability to identify when escalation is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of IJNT, Partner Workstation, BPM, SmartIQ, account documentation, funding, account coding, statement review, and documentation imaging processes.
  • Experience supporting high-value, sensitive, cross-product, or complex client onboarding events.
  • Familiarity with Trust, Banking, Brokerage, ACAT/DTC transfers, tax cost tracking, AML/KYC requirements, fees, and investment-related onboarding dependencies.
  • Experience facilitating cross-functional meetings, maintaining milestone trackers, and preparing executive-ready status updates.
  • Exposure to risk, control, audit, quality review, or process improvement initiatives.

Salary Range:
