COMPANY OVERVIEW

We look for people who want to bring their best — bold thinkers with big hearts who challenge one another and grow together. About the Role

General Mills’ North America Foodservice business is focused on creating growth for customers and consumers across foodservice and retail channels.

We are seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to lead our Bread business and Retail Foodservice channel strategy. The Bread business is an approximately $250 million growth platform serving major grocery, mass, and club retailers. While the role sits within Foodservice, it is primarily retail-focused and requires a strong understanding of retail customers, shoppers, and channels.

You’ll own the Bread P&L, lead the business growth agenda, and manage two direct reports. You’ll also help shape strategy across the broader Retail Foodservice portfolio, including frozen baked goods. This role is based at General Mills headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

What You'll Do

  • Own the Bread business strategy and P&L, balancing growth, profitability, and investment.

  • Partner with Sales to strengthen existing retail customer relationships and identify new growth opportunities.

  • Build a pipeline of innovation, renovation, and portfolio opportunities to support long-term growth.

  • Use consumer, shopper, and customer insights to develop demand-driving plans for private-label and retailer-branded products.

  • Set channel strategies across grocery, mass, and club, recognizing the different needs of each retail environment.

  • Lead and develop two marketing team members while partnering with Finance, Insights, Product Development, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in brand management, channel marketing, innovation, business development, or a related field.

  • Experience in retail marketing across grocery, mass, club, or comparable channels.

  • Experience managing or influencing a P&L, business plan, or portfolio-level financial results.

  • Experience turning consumer, shopper, or customer insights into growth plans.

  • Experience managing direct reports and influencing cross-functional partners.

  • Strong business judgment and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

  • Ability to be based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at General Mills headquarters. Relocation will be provided if you are not local.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience across both retail and foodservice.

  • Experience with private label, retailer-branded products, bakery, packaged foods, or frozen baked goods.

  • Experience developing customer-specific strategies across grocery, mass, and club channels.

Additional Considerations

  • International relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered.
