About this job
About Us:
Fireworks is the platform for specialized intelligence, enabling companies to build, train, and serve AI models tailored to their own data, workflows, and products. Founded by the team behind PyTorch and backed by AMD, Atreides, Benchmark Capital, Index Ventures, Lightspeed, NVIDIA, Sequoia Capital, and TCV, Fireworks powers production AI with hundreds of state-of-the-art open models across text, image, embedding, audio, and multimodal workloads. Today, Fireworks is a Series D company valued at $17.5 billion, bringing together an ambitious, collaborative team that's building the future of enterprise AI.
About the role
We're looking for a Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) Analyst to own how Fireworks evaluates, onboards, and monitors the vendors and subprocessors we depend on. You'll join our security and compliance team and run the full vendor risk lifecycle: intake, due diligence, risk tiering, contract security review, ongoing monitoring, remediation, and offboarding. Your work supports our SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 42001, and GDPR commitments and gives our customers confidence in the supply chain behind their data.
From day one you'll run real vendor reviews, from cloud and GPU infrastructure providers to SaaS tools and AI/ML services, with clear room to grow into owning the program end to end. This is a good fit for someone with solid hands-on vendor risk or compliance experience who wants to shape how a fast-moving AI infrastructure company scales its third-party program.
What you'll do
Run vendor intake and risk tiering. Triage inbound vendor requests from Engineering, IT, GTM, and Legal, classify each vendor by data sensitivity and criticality, and scale review depth to the tier.
Perform security due diligence. Review SOC 2 Type II reports, ISO 27001/27701/42001 certificates, HIPAA and GDPR documentation, pen test summaries, and security questionnaires, then translate them into a clear, defensible risk rating.
Spot real gaps. Tell a true control gap from an acceptable compensating control, document findings and exceptions, and drive risk acceptance decisions with the right risk owners.
Partner on contracts. Work with Legal and Procurement on DPAs, BAAs, subprocessor terms, and security addenda so risk findings are reflected before contracts are signed.
Monitor vendors continuously. Run reassessments on a tiered cadence, track SOC 2 and ISO report expirations and bridge letters, watch for vendor incidents and breaches, and review subprocessor changes.
Track remediation to closure. Follow up with vendors and internal owners, keep issues moving, and maintain an accurate vendor inventory and risk register in our GRC platform.
Report on program health. Track review cycle times, backlog, open exceptions, reassessment coverage, and concentration risk, and turn that data into insights for security leadership.
Improve the program. Refine questionnaires, tiering criteria, intake workflows, and templates, and use automation and AI-assisted workflows to review more vendors without lowering the bar.
Work across teams. Meet Engineering, IT, HR, Legal, and GTM where they are, and explain vendor risk in plain language rather than acting as a gatekeeper.
How the role will grow
As you build context on our environment and program, you'll take on broader ownership and move toward more scope:
End-to-end ownership. Own the entire TPRM workstream, from intake through offboarding, including policy, standards, and tiering criteria.
Program design. Help design new assessment methods, risk models, and automation that raise the bar on speed and consistency as vendor volume grows.
Broader risk influence. Connect third-party findings to our enterprise risk register and represent GRC in cross-functional projects such as new AI/ML vendor adoption and infrastructure provider selection.
What we're looking for
3-5 years of experience in third-party/vendor risk management, GRC, IT audit, or information security
Hands-on experience running vendor security assessments: reviewing questionnaires, SOC 2 and ISO reports, and security documentation, and turning them into a clear risk rating
Familiarity with the TPRM lifecycle: intake, risk tiering, exceptions and risk acceptance, remediation tracking, and periodic reassessment
Working knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001/27701/42001, HIPAA, GDPR, NIST CSF, or similar, and common control domains (access control, encryption, incident response, BC/DR)
Experience with a GRC or TPRM platform (Anecdotes, Vanta, Drata, Secureframe, OneTrust, Whistic, or similar)
Comfort with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and how SaaS and AI products are built and operated, enough to assess vendors that host or process our data
Strong written communication: you can explain a vendor risk to engineers, Legal, Procurement, and non-technical employees without overstating or hand-waving
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to juggle many reviews and deadlines without dropping rigor
A collaborative mindset; you enjoy working across teams rather than gatekeeping
Why Fireworks?
Solve Hard Problems: Tackle challenges at the forefront of AI infrastructure, from low-latency inference to scalable model serving.
