About this job

About Formlabs:

Do you want to change how the world creates?

At Formlabs, we’re building the tools that make it possible for anyone to bring their ideas to life, from cutting-edge products to life-saving medical devices. Our 3D printing technology powers innovation at more than 50,000 industry leaders worldwide, including Apple, Google, Tesla, New Balance, and NASA. Together, we’re helping everyone design, prototype, and manufacture faster than ever before.

We’re a team of hands-on builders, engineers, and innovators reinventing how the world makes physical things. If you’re ready to shape the future of fabrication, come build it with us.

Your Impact:

We are seeking a VP of Operations to join our leadership team and contribute to the global strategy and execution of operations at Formlabs. This executive will lead manufacturing engineering, supply demand management, logistics, supply chain, or materials operations—ensuring precision, scale, and efficiency across our entire product ecosystem.

As our business expands across hardware, software, and materials, this leader will define how we evolve our operational processes, expand our global reach, and unlock new opportunities for growth.

What You’ll Do:

  • Report directly to the Chief Operating Officer
  • Build and execute a multi-year strategy to scale Formlabs’ global operations and expand product capabilities
  • Lead manufacturing and operations engineering, developing and refining processes and tooling that ensure high-quality, high-precision products at scale
  • Oversee supply demand management: forecasting demand, aligning supply to financial and sales goals, managing factory builds, and ensuring smooth customer allocation during NPIs
  • Drive logistics and supply chain excellence: negotiating with partners, optimizing global systems and processes, and delivering a seamless customer experience
  • Expand our global manufacturing footprint and partnerships to meet increasing demand across hardware and materials
  • Partner closely with R&D, product, and go-to-market teams to support new product introductions and material launches
  • Identify and pursue adjacent business opportunities that drive revenue growth and margin expansion
  • Establish best-in-class operational practices, cost structures, and sustainability measures to strengthen market leadership

About You:

  • MBA or equivalent leadership experience
  • Strong background in operations, supply chain, and manufacturing
  • Proven success scaling global, multi-site manufacturing networks
  • Deep expertise leading operations across manufacturing engineering, supply chain and or logistics
  • Track record of building strong vendor relationships and negotiating high-value contracts
  • Demonstrated ability to craft and execute long-term strategies that expand capabilities, improve margins, and enable growth at scale

Our Benefits & Perks:

  • Robust equity program to build future wealth through RSUs
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage (Medical, Dental, Vision)
  • 401K matching and access to financial advisors
  • Generous paid Parental Leave (up to 16 weeks)
  • Tenure-based paid Sabbatical Leave (up to 6 weeks)
  • Flexible Out of Office Plan – Take time when you need it
  • Ample on-site parking & pre-tax commuter benefits
  • Healthy on-site lunches, snacks, beverages, & treats
  • Regular sponsored professional development opportunities
  • Many opt-in culture events across our diverse community
  • And of course… unlimited 3D prints

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.  We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

Even if you don't check every box, but see yourself contributing, please apply. Help us build an inclusive community that will change the face of 3D printing.

Compensation:

Equity is a big part of the compensation package at Formlabs - every employee receives equity because everyone contributes to building the company. We have a lot of confidence in the products we’re building and the impact we’re making, and you should too.

Base pay is the other part of our compensation package, and it is carefully determined based on your skills, experience, and expected impact. Equity and base pay combine to make up your total compensation package at Formlabs.
