About this job

As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly embedded across our products, platforms, services and operations, we are focused on bringing our enterprise AI story to market in a way that is clear, differentiated and grounded in client value.

State Street is seeking a Vice President, AI Marketing Strategy & Activation to develop and coordinate the go-to-market approach for our enterprise AI story.

The role will identify, prioritize and coordinate paid, earned and owned opportunities that strengthen State Street's market profile and demonstrate how our AI advancements benefit clients. Working in close partnership with Corporate Communications, Thought Leadership, Brand, Digital Marketing, Events and business-aligned marketing teams, the successful candidate will connect AI stories across the enterprise and bring them to life through campaigns, executive platforms, market activations, client case studies and sales enablement. Success will come through partnership, influence and alignment rather than direct ownership of all AI-related activity.

The role will show how State Street is scaling years of applied AI, embedding intelligent capabilities into the products and platforms clients use, starting with real client problems, and advancing innovation with accountability, governance and trust at its foundation.

Key Responsibilities

Develop the Enterprise AI Go-to-Market Approach

·   Develop and evolve the go-to-market approach for State Street's enterprise AI story, defining priority audiences, messages, channels, market moments and activation opportunities.

·   Translate the enterprise AI strategy into a focused marketing roadmap across businesses, regions and client segments.

·   Identify opportunities to strengthen State Street's differentiation and visibility in the market, with a focus on tangible client and business outcomes.

·   Identify, develop and promote stories that demonstrate how clients benefit from State Street's AI advancements.

·   Partner with senior stakeholders across Technology, Product, and the business lines to align priorities, proof points and activation plans.

Identify and Activate Paid, Earned and Owned Opportunities

·   Identify, prioritize and coordinate a strategic pipeline of paid, earned and owned opportunities that elevates State Street's enterprise AI profile.

·   In partnership with the relevant specialist teams, identify and evaluate media opportunities, industry events, sponsorships, partnerships, research initiatives, awards, executive forums and other high-value platforms.

·   Partner with Corporate Communications to identify and support earned opportunities, and with Brand, Digital and Media teams to coordinate paid and owned activation.

·   Partner with Corporate Communications and Thought Leadership to identify and support external opportunities for senior leaders and subject-matter experts.

·   Develop integrated activation plans around important AI milestones, client stories, thought leadership launches, product developments and industry events.

Connect State Street's AI Story Across the Enterprise

·   Work with business-aligned marketing teams to find and connect AI stories across State Street's products, platforms, services and operations.

·   Serve as the central coordinator and strategist for enterprise AI go-to-market efforts, bringing together activity across Marketing, Corporate Communications, Thought Leadership, Brand, Events and Digital teams without duplicating their specialist accountabilities.

·   Build a coherent enterprise story while preserving the relevance and differentiation of individual business-line applications.

·   Maintain a connected view of AI launches, use cases, proof points and upcoming opportunities across the organization.

Qualifications and Experience

Required

·   At least 5 years of experience in B2B marketing, go-to-market strategy, industry marketing, integrated marketing, strategic communications or a related discipline.

·   Experience in financial services, technology, fintech, professional services or another complex B2B environment.

·   Demonstrated ability to develop marketing strategies and turn them into integrated activation plans.

·    Experience working across both marketing and communications disciplines, with the judgement to coordinate specialist teams while respecting clear functional ownership.

·   Excellent storytelling, messaging and writing skills, with the ability to simplify complex business and technology topics.

·   Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including experience working across matrixed teams and with senior leaders.

·   Commercial judgement, intellectual curiosity and the ability to connect market trends to business priorities.

Preferred

·   Experience promoting AI, data, technology, digital transformation or innovation-related capabilities is a distinct advantage.

·   Experience supporting executive positioning, industry engagement or major market activations.

·   Global marketing experience across multiple regions, audiences or business lines.

·   Familiarity with responsible AI, governance and trust considerations in regulated industries.

Capabilities for Success

·   Strategic and commercial thinker who can shape a clear go-to-market approach from a complex enterprise agenda.

·   Opportunity-led marketer who can identify where and how State Street should show up in the market.

·   Confident connector who is comfortable operating across marketing and communications disciplines and can bring together stories, teams and channels across the enterprise.

·   Client-focused storyteller who leads with problems, outcomes and proof.

·   Collaborative operator who succeeds through influence and partnership.

·   Pragmatic, organized and able to move fast from strategy to delivery.
