About this job

At Commure, we're building the AI Operating System for healthcare, the foundation that defines how care is delivered, documented, and financed. Our platform spans the full care journey: Ambient AI and Dictation eliminating documentation burden at the point of care, intelligent Agents automating patient and revenue workflows, and autonomous RCM processing billions in claims, all on a single AI-native platform integrated with 60+ EHRs.

Healthcare carries a $1 trillion administrative burden and we're at the center of transforming it. Today, 500,000+ clinicians across 500+ healthcare organizations nationwide trust Commure to handle $25B+ in annual claims and support over 200 million patient interactions. Our latest $70M raise at a $7B valuation reflects the confidence the market has placed in this mission. We've also been named to the Fortune Future 50 list and the 2026 AI Breakthrough Awards for “Overall NLP Company of the Year.”

Our team works directly alongside clinicians, not through layers of process, which means the gap between what you build and its impact on patient care is immediate. We move fast, deploy daily, and take full ownership from early thinking to production. If you're energized by hard problems, high stakes, and a team that holds itself to a high bar, you'll find your people here.

The future of healthcare is being built right now. Come deliver this transformation.

About the Role

Our creative team includes visual designers, writers, motion designers, product designers, and producers partnering with Product, Marketing, Growth, Clinical, and Executive teams to bring healthcare to life in compelling, human work.

We’re looking for a Communications Designer to lead visual storytelling across Commure’s brand and product experiences. You’ll turn complex healthcare ideas into clear, distinctive creative for campaigns, launches, and key product moments. Your primary focus will be setting visual direction and bringing work to life hands-on in the areas where you do your best work. You’ll collaborate with writers, product teams, and creative specialists, and help build the visual guidelines and creative processes that make our work more consistent and strengthen Commure’s brand. As we grow, you’ll have room to take on broader creative leadership, shaping direction across projects and helping other creatives do their best work.

This role is based in our Mountain View office, 3 days per week minimum in-person.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead concepts and visual execution across brand campaigns, product launches, and key storytelling moments.

  • Own visual craft quality. Push for stronger ideas and refine the details that make creative work distinctive. Raise the quality of work around you through precise feedback, mentoring, and clear examples of craft excellence.

  • Build and evolve visual identity and guidelines that help teams create consistent, high-quality work. Partner with writers, motion designers, photographers, and other specialists to extend the creative system across channels.

  • Translate complex clinical and product concepts into creative work that feels simple, human, and trustworthy

  • Partner with Product, Marketing, Growth, Clinical, and Comms to shape work early and deliver connected experiences. Present work with clarity, walk stakeholders through your thinking, and defend creative decisions when needed.

  • Direct external creative partners including agencies, studios, photographers, and illustrators. Set clear direction and maintain quality standards through delivery.

  • Balance long-term brand building with near-term growth needs across awareness, acquisition, engagement, and retention. Ground creative decisions in user research, performance data, and business context.

What You Have

  • 5+ years in brand, visual design, product creative, and campaign work

  • Strong portfolio showing range across brand platforms, campaigns, product storytelling, and identity systems with clear end-to-end examples you led

  • Strong visual craft and taste. Excellent instincts for typography, color, composition, and visual storytelling, with the ability to collaborate effectively with writers and specialists in motion, photography, and other disciplines.

  • Track record translating complex subject matter in healthcare, science, finance, or developer tools into clear, trustworthy creative work

  • Experience developing visual guidelines and creative systems that help teams produce cohesive, high-quality work at scale.

  • Thoughtful use of AI in creative work. You’ve used generative and language-model tools to explore concepts, prototype ideas, or develop creative assets, and can show how they improved the work—not just the speed. You know when AI is appropriate, protect sensitive information, and review outputs for accuracy, originality, and brand integrity.

  • Strong communication skills. You can write a sharp creative brief, present work clearly, and build buy-in across product, marketing, clinical, and executive stakeholders.

  • Experience guiding creative work beyond your own execution through feedback, cross-disciplinary collaboration, or direction of external partners.

  • Systems thinking and project management capability to run multiple creative workstreams, balance competing priorities, and ship high-quality work on deadline and within budget. Sound judgment for working in a regulated, high-trust category.
