About this job
About the role
We are hiring a Content & Solutions Marketing Lead to define how OpenAI communicates the value of its advertising solutions to enterprise advertisers and agencies. You will build the narratives, content, customer proof, sales tools, and educational programs that help marketers understand the opportunity, make informed investment decisions, and achieve results.
Reporting to the Head of Global Large Advertiser Marketing, you will lead a function spanning enterprise advertising positioning and messaging, thought leadership, solutions storytelling, sales enablement, and customer education. You will translate product capabilities, customer insights, and performance evidence into clear, compelling materials for marketing leaders, media decision-makers, and the teams supporting them.
You will partner closely with Sales, Communications, Product Marketing, and Customer Marketing to create a consistent story across the customer journey. This role requires a strategic leader and exceptional storyteller who can build a scalable content operation while personally developing its most important narratives and materials.
In this role, you will:
Develop the enterprise advertising narrative. Own audience-specific positioning and messaging for enterprise advertisers and agencies, partnering with Product Marketing and Communications to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Define the content strategy. Establish editorial priorities, formats, and distribution plans that address customer needs from initial awareness through evaluation, adoption, and growth.
Build solutions narratives. Translate advertising capabilities into clear customer use cases, business benefits, and practical guidance tailored to advertiser objectives and agency needs.
Create compelling thought leadership. Develop perspectives, executive presentations, research-based content, and other materials that help marketers understand the evolving role of AI in advertising.
Build customer proof. Partner with Customer Marketing, Sales, and measurement teams to identify results and develop case studies, testimonials, and evidence that substantiate our advertising story.
Equip Sales to communicate value. Own the marketing content supporting advertiser and agency conversations, including core pitch narratives, presentations, solution briefs, playbooks, and objection-handling materials.
Develop scaled customer education. Create educational content and programs—including webinars, video, guides, and learning resources—that help advertisers and agencies build confidence and use OpenAI’s advertising solutions effectively.
Establish a scalable content operation. Build processes for briefing, creation, review, localization, distribution, and maintenance so content remains accurate, accessible, and current.
Measure and improve impact. Partner with Strategy & Operations to evaluate content engagement, seller usage, customer learning, and contribution to adoption and commercial outcomes.
You might thrive in this role if you have:
10+ years of experience in content marketing, solutions marketing, product marketing, ad sales marketing, or related roles.
A track record of developing positioning, messaging, and content for enterprise buyers and complex commercial decisions.
Strong understanding of digital advertising, advertiser objectives, agency workflows, and how marketers evaluate media investments.
Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex products and data into clear, credible customer stories.
Experience developing sales narratives and enablement materials in close partnership with enterprise sales teams.
Experience turning customer insights and performance evidence into persuasive case studies, solutions content, or educational resources.
Demonstrated ability to build repeatable content processes and maintain quality across multiple formats and channels.
Strong cross-functional leadership and the ability to align stakeholders around a shared narrative.
Ability to operate in ambiguity, exercise sound judgment, and balance strategic leadership with hands-on content development.
Preferred qualifications
Experience in advertising technology, digital media, AI, or marketing an emerging platform or category.
Experience establishing a narrative for a new business or changing how customers understand an existing category.
Experience creating advertiser or agency education programs at scale.
Experience developing executive thought leadership and research-led content.
Experience adapting messaging and content across international markets.
Familiarity with advertising measurement and the interpretation of campaign performance data.
Practical experience using AI to improve content research, development, localization, or knowledge access.
