A day in the life
As a Corporate Counsel on our Energy & Water Legal team, you'll take the lead on structuring, drafting, and negotiating complex energy project agreements including utility special contracts, power purchase agreements, and power generation and interconnection arrangements. You'll collaborate with our business development, infrastructure, and sustainability teams to navigate the technical and legal complexities of energy transactions. Some days you'll be deep in contract language; other days you'll be advising stakeholders on regulatory implications or exploring innovative deal structures that haven't been tried before.

Our mission is to enable AWS to build the cloud and AI infrastructure our customers depend on while advancing our Climate Pledge commitment. You'll join a collaborative group of attorneys and business professionals who are passionate about solving complex problems at the intersection of technology, energy, and sustainability. Together, we're helping to accelerate the global transition to renewable energy while supporting one of the world's most ambitious corporate climate commitments.
