About this job

McKesson is an impact-driven, Fortune 10 company that touches virtually every aspect of healthcare. We are known for delivering insights, products, and services that make quality care more accessible and affordable. Here, we focus on the health, happiness, and well-being of you and those we serve – we care.

What you do at McKesson matters. We foster a culture where you can grow, make an impact, and are empowered to bring new ideas. Together, we thrive as we shape the future of health for patients, our communities, and our people. If you want to be part of tomorrow’s health today, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do
As a Director, Enterprise RTE & Agile Coaching, your daily to-dos will shift with business needs, but here’s a snapshot of what to expect:

  • Partners, coaches and support every value stream’s RTE and agile coaches as a community of practice. Partner with each RTE to facilitate and support PDLC events such as Discovery & Prioritization workshops, PI Planning and Inspect & Adapt, and step in directly when a value stream need added support.
  • Manage the standard PDLC operating rhythm across all value streams, including:
    • The enterprise PDLC planning calendar (11-week cycle)
    • Value stream roster accuracy, in partnership with the RTEs
    • Success measures that track ART health the same way across value streams, using flow and value metrics
    • Consistent process, tooling and ceremonies across ARTs
    • Co-supporting continuous improvement and center of excellence work when a change affects all value streams. This includes spreading best practices from one value stream or ART to the others and standardizing fixes with the RTEs.
  • Share transparent, consistent updates on the progress of the SAFe Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) and value stream transformation. Use existing channels such as newsletters, town halls and leadership updates for consistent communication. Turn feedback loops into improvement opportunities to execute with each value stream.

Skills You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of professional experience and 4+ years of management experience.
  • 8+ years in Agile/SAFe delivery, including hands-on experience coaching RTEs.
  • An active SAFe certification: Certified SAFe® Practice Consultant (SPC), Certified SAFe® Release Train Engineer (RTE), or Certified SAFe® Lean Portfolio Manager (LPM).
  • Deep SAFe expertise that moves complex to highly complex transformation work forward. You bring perspectives from many functions and disciplines together to drive progress, and regularly influence senior leaders’ decisions with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience leading value streams or ARTs in large technology or healthcare organizations particularly in provider, pharmacy, biopharma or payer environments.
  • A proven track record of transforming large organizations to SAFe, with influence at the executive, peer and team levels across a matrixed organization.
  • Experience using flow and value metrics to assess train health and drive measurable improvement.
  • AI native, with hands-on experience using AI tools, especially Claude and Microsoft Copilot, to work smarter and faster. Highly skilled in agile tools, including Jira, Office 365, and Miro for remote collaboration.
  • Sound judgment to set the standard by combining your own expertise with input from the diverse teammates you work with, without needing to be the deepest expert in the room.
  • Experience in learning and development or transformation facilitation, such as human-centered design, leading workshops and delivering training.
  • The ability to simplify complex processes, prioritize competing needs and adjust as new information becomes available.
