Job Description
About the Role
In this Senior Director level role you will help shape evidence generation strategy for complex assets and indications within a therapeutic area. You will play a key role in translating stakeholder insights, emerging data, evolving evidence needs, and healthcare system changes into integrated research priorities across the product lifecycle. As the primary Evidence Generation partner for assigned areas, you will connect scientific strategy with decisions related to development, registration, launch, differentiation, access, lifecycle management, and business objectives. Your work will contribute to rigorous, innovative, and impactful evidence activities through collaboration with global, regional, local, and external partners. You will also help ensure that evidence priorities inform cross-functional strategies, investment decisions, governance discussions, and dissemination plans while strengthening organizational capabilities through coaching and inclusive leadership.
How You Will Contribute
- Lead evidence generation strategy for complex assets and indications by integrating stakeholder insights and evolving evidence needs across the product lifecycle.
- Develop and evolve integrated evidence plans that sequence fit-for-purpose research and dissemination priorities from early development through post-launch.
- Guide cross-functional evidence teams by setting strategic direction, building alignment, navigating competing priorities, and communicating recommendations, risks, and trade-offs.
- Provide scientific oversight for studies from concept development through execution, interpretation, and communication, ensuring scientific rigor, compliance, and impact.
- Inform investment and portfolio decisions by overseeing evidence generation budgets and presenting strategic recommendations, scenarios, and trade-off options.
- Build external and internal partnerships to understand stakeholder requirements, support scientific exchange, and deliver evidence efficiently.
- Strengthen evidence generation capabilities by coaching team members and colleagues and fostering a collaborative, inclusive environment.
Qualifications
- Doctorate with at least 11 years of relevant experience, or master’s degree with at least 13 years of relevant experience.
- Advanced degree in a relevant scientific, medical, or quantitative field.
- Experience in medical affairs, clinical development, epidemiology, evidence generation, outcomes research, or a related field.
- Significant experience developing evidence strategies that address the needs of multiple stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated ability to lead evidence strategy, cross-functional teams, and governance discussions in a highly matrixed global environment.
- Strong knowledge of evidence generation across the product lifecycle and its role in stakeholder decision-making across geographies.
- Ability to influence without formal authority, manage competing priorities, communicate effectively, listen actively, adapt quickly, and build stakeholder alignment.
