POSITION OVERVIEW

As part of the build-out of TransGrid Energy's Corporate Strategy (CS) function, we are seeking a Manager, Corporate Strategy – Project to serve as the dedicated business-unit planning and performance-management partner for one of TransGrid Energy's three business units: IPP, Data Center Infrastructure, or VPP.

This role operates in an embedded, 1:1 coverage model, owning the business plan, KPI tracking, and performance reporting for an assigned business unit while working closely with the Project Part Lead to escalate risks, coordinate cross-BU priorities, and support executive decision-making. This is a high-visibility role for someone who wants deep exposure to business operations alongside corporate strategy and reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the dedicated Corporate Strategy point of contact for an assigned business unit (IPP, Data Center Infrastructure, or VPP), maintaining a close working relationship with business unit leadership.

  • Own the business unit's annual business plan, budget-to-actual tracking, and KPI dashboard, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and timely updates.

  • Support Review & Challenge sessions between the business unit and the CEO's office / Corporate Planning by preparing supporting analyses, performance updates, and presentation materials.

  • Track project- and portfolio-level milestones, including pipeline progress, commercial operation date (COD) timelines, and investment gates, proactively identifying and escalating risks or delays.

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting packages and ad hoc briefing materials for executive leadership and headquarters reporting, including Hanwha Qcells and Hanwha Energy.

  • Support the Project Part Lead in coordinating cross-business-unit resource allocation, investment prioritization, and strategic initiatives.

  • Coordinate with FP&A, the Investment team, and Legal and Operations to ensure business unit initiatives are appropriately resourced, monitored, and executed.

  • Help implement standardized reporting cadences, KPI definitions, and templates as part of the broader integration with Hanwha Qcells' management processes.

  • Support the onboarding of new business unit leaders by providing relevant business strategy, planning, KPI, and performance-management context.

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.

  • 5–8 years of experience in corporate strategy, business unit finance, FP&A, management consulting, or business operations, ideally within energy, infrastructure, or another capital-intensive industry.

  • Strong analytical skills, including experience building and maintaining KPI dashboards, budget trackers, and management reporting packages.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage business planning, performance tracking, and reporting processes with strong attention to data accuracy and deadlines.

  • Ability to operate as an embedded business unit partner while representing corporate strategy and headquarters perspectives.

  • Experience preparing executive-level presentations, management reports, and materials that translate complex information into clear recommendations.

  • Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust with business unit leadership and corporate stakeholders.

  • Ability to identify performance gaps, monitor milestones, proactively escalate risks, and support data-driven decision-making.

  • Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with renewable energy project development, independent power producer (IPP) operations, or data center infrastructure and virtual power plant (VPP) business models.

  • Experience supporting corporate planning, management reporting, or performance-management processes within a multinational organization.

  • Experience working with headquarters or regional stakeholders on business planning, reporting standards, and management processes.

  • Bilingual in English and Korean, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
