About this job

Join Amazon Leo's Electronic Supply Chain team to drive the manufacturing and operations of advanced printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) that power our satellite broadband network. You'll manage complex contract manufacturers' production processes while collaborating with engineering, quality and development teams to deliver the components that connect communities worldwide.

Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Key job responsibilities

The Operations TPM role requires an ability to balance tactical execution with strategic thinking to ensure both daily delivery and long-term manufacturing capability needs are met.

  • Manage contract manufacturers' end-to-end production processes for assigned products, ensuring alignment with Amazon Leo's manufacturing requirements
  • Monitor and optimize capacity, quality, manufacturing processes, and delivery metrics at contract manufacturers
  • Lead technical investigations to resolve manufacturing constraints and blockers, collaborating with engineering and quality teams
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives and support cross-functional projects to enhance production efficiency and sustainability
  • Drive production planning and execution to meet on-time delivery commitments and production rate targets

A day in the life

As an Operations Program Manager at Amazon Leo, you'll start your day reviewing upcoming deliveries, production metrics, and work-in-progress status across your assigned contract manufacturers. You'll participate in daily production meetings to address immediate issues and coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve constraints. Throughout the day, you'll analyze production performance data to identify bottlenecks, conduct investigations into manufacturing challenges, and work with suppliers to implement process improvements that ensure current and future production rates are met sustainably.

You will spend time in technical reviews with engineering teams to evaluate new design requirements and trade-offs, providing data to support the manufacturability of your products. You'll regularly present performance updates to leadership, support business reviews, and collaborate with other program managers to improve processes. You may travel to supplier sites for hands-on problem-solving.
