About this job
Principal, Technology Strategy & Planning
What You'll Do
The Principal, Tech Business Management will serve as a strategic business partner for EASE, helping connect infrastructure strategy, financial performance, investment choices, and measurable outcomes. The role will bring strong business and financial acumen to strategic planning and portfolio decisions, helping leaders understand the economics of technology services and make informed choices about where and how EASE invests.
Working closely with EASE leaders, Finance, portfolio integration leaders, service and application owners, Architecture, Data, and other partners, the Principal will help maintain alignment across strategic priorities, objectives and key results, financial outlook, and current and future investment needs. The role will direct and partner with dedicated finance resources to develop the models, analyses, and scenarios needed for decisions; help prioritize investments; govern and develop business cases; and translate financial and operational insights into recommendations for senior leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Synthesize business, financial, operational, and strategic information into concise executive insights and decision support, leading through influence across a complex, matrixed organization.
- Help establish common management practices for technology economics, investment governance, business cases, OKRs, and value realization, including decision criteria, templates, and operating cadences.
- Maintain and track EASE strategic priorities, objectives and key results, providing visibility into progress, performance gaps, and areas requiring leadership attention or intervention.
- Govern and help develop business cases, including problem definition, strategic alignment, alternatives, costs, benefits, assumptions, risks, measures, and value-realization expectations.
- Help leaders prioritize investments across competing needs by framing strategic alignment, expected value, financial implications, constraints, risks, and trade-offs.
- Collaborate with Portfolio Integration Leads to connect financial insights and investment needs with portfolio direction, roadmaps, outcomes, priorities, and major decisions.
- Interpret financial actuals, forecasts, variances, risks, and investment needs; translate the implications into clear options, trade-offs, and recommendations for senior leaders and Portfolio Integration Leads.
- Direct and partner with dedicated finance resources to develop financial analyses, forecasts, investment scenarios, cost views, and other models needed to support leadership and portfolio decisions.
- Help build and evolve EASE's approach to technology economics, including unit-economics views for business services, applications, infrastructure capabilities, and other technology services, so leaders can better understand cost drivers, consumption, and value.
- Partner with EASE leaders to connect strategic priorities, technology plans, financial considerations, and expected outcomes into an integrated business view.
