About this job

About Mercor

Mercor's mission is to organize human intelligence to power the AI economy. We're a leading AI data company, building the layer between human expertise and frontier models. Millions of domain experts on the platform are paid over $4 million per day to train frontier AI models. Mercor's APEX benchmark family measures AI's real-world impact on professional work. Mercor Enterprise brings this same infrastructure to Fortune 500 companies: helping companies capture how their best people actually work, translating that expertise directly back into agents.

Mercor is creating a new category of work where expertise powers AI advancement. Achieving this requires an ambitious, fast-paced and deeply committed team. You’ll work alongside researchers, operators, and AI companies at the forefront of shaping the systems that are redefining society. Mercor is a profitable Series C company valued at $10 billion. We work in-person five days a week in our San Francisco, NYC, or London offices.

About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Ops Specialist to support Mercor’s procurement operations, vendor onboarding, and employee purchasing experience. You will manage helpdesk requests and procurement intake, coordinate contract signatures and purchase orders, and partner with Accounts Payable to unblock aged invoices. You will also support user training & procurement systems testing.

What You'll Do

  • Purchasing operations. Validate pricing, legal entities, categories, and requisition lines; create and finalize purchase orders and change orders in the procurement platform.

  • Vendor onboarding. Follow up with vendors for missing information, review tax and banking documentation for completeness under company procedures, and maintain accurate vendor profiles.

  • Aged invoice resolution. Support Accounts Payable in unblocking aged invoices by following up with business requesters to obtain or resolve missing purchase orders and coordinating outstanding actions.

  • Contract signatures. Route contracts for signature in Ironclad, coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors, and track signatures through completion.

  • Procurement helpdesk. Triage requests; assess urgency, route questions to the right owners, and track issues through resolution.

  • Intake and service levels. Monitor procurement intake and follow up with cross-functional stakeholders to meet established service-level agreements and keep requests moving.

  • Training and systems support. Train users on procurement workflows and supporting tools

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in procurement operations or procure-to-pay support, including requisitions, purchase orders, and change orders.

  • Experience supporting vendor onboarding, vendor data, contract coordination, and employee helpdesk requests.

  • Deep familiarity with procurement/P2P tooling (e.g. Ramp, Ironclad, Zip, or similar) and a bias toward automation over manual work.

  • Strong attention to detail when reviewing pricing, entities, categories, and purchasing records; discretion with sensitive vendor and banking information.

  • Working knowledge of AP and payment processes, so you can hand off cleanly to AP and troubleshoot upstream issues before they become AP's problem.

  • Clear communication and strong organization, with the ability to manage deadlines, coordinate cross-functional follow-ups, and train users.

  • Comfort working across procurement, ERP, contract management, and collaboration tools.

  • Experience working in fast-paced AI or hyper-growth technology environments

  • Can do attitude
