About this job

Why Socure?

Socure is building the identity trust infrastructure for the digital economy — verifying 100% of good identities in real time and stopping fraud before it starts. The mission is big, the problems are complex, and the impact is felt by businesses, governments, and millions of people every day.

We hire people who want that level of responsibility. People who move fast, think critically, act like owners, and care deeply about solving customer problems with precision. If you want predictability or narrow scope, this won’t be your place. If you want to help build the future of identity with a team that holds a high bar for itself — keep reading.

About the role

More of Socure's next customers will start without a sales call. Some start with an engineer in our docs. A growing share start with an AI agent evaluating identity APIs on someone's behalf. We're hiring a Product-Led Growth (PLG) Marketer to own that self-serve path for both audiences.

You'll own how Socure gets discovered, evaluated, and adopted with no human in the loop: from the first docs visit or agent query, to a sandbox key, to a first successful API call, to production and expansion. Developer marketing stays at the core of the job. The scope now adds two things: making Socure the identity infrastructure AI agents can find, understand, and integrate on their own, and modernizing how self-serve marketing works end to end.

This is a senior, hands-on role in Revenue Marketing. You'll work daily with Growth Engineering, Product, Engineering, DevRel, and Sales, and you'll be measured on activation, conversion, and revenue, not content output.

Location: We can only hire candidates based in one of our hubs: New York City, NY, or San Francisco, CA.

What you'll do

Own the self-serve growth engine

  • Own the PLG strategy and funnel for Socure's API and platform products: discovery, signup, sandbox, first API call, production, and expansion.

  • Find the friction at every step and remove it. Run experiments on signup, onboarding, pricing and packaging pages, and in-product prompts with Growth Engineering and Product.

  • Build lifecycle and in-product programs that move sandbox users to production and production accounts to expansion.

  • Define product-qualified leads with Sales and RevOps, and route the right accounts to a human at the right moment.

Build the developer experience

  • Define developer ICPs, technical value propositions, use cases, and competitive positioning for engineers, architects, and technical decision-makers.

  • Treat docs, quickstarts, sample apps, SDKs, and the developer portal as growth surfaces. Partner with Engineering and DevRel to cut time to first successful call.

  • Translate Socure's AI-driven identity and fraud capabilities into technically credible content developers trust and share.

  • Own developer content and community: technical blogs, video walkthroughs, webinars, hackathons, and developer events.

Build the agent experience

  • Make Socure easy for AI agents and coding assistants to discover, evaluate, and integrate. That includes machine-readable docs (llms.txt, clean OpenAPI specs), MCP servers, agent-friendly sandbox provisioning and auth, and structured capability and pricing data.

  • Make sure Socure shows up accurately when developers ask AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or Copilot which identity API to use. Partner with Digital Marketing on answer engine optimization for technical queries.

  • Track agent-driven traffic, signups, and API activity as its own channel, and grow it.

  • Bring what you learn about agentic workflows into positioning and roadmap conversations.

Measure and partner

  • Own the self-serve KPIs: signups, sandbox activations, time to first call, sandbox-to-production conversion, product-qualified leads, self-serve pipeline and revenue, and agent-driven activity.

  • Partner with RevOps and Growth Engineering on instrumentation and attribution so every number is trusted.

  • Act as the PLG owner in planning cycles, QBRs, and product launches.

  • Bring developer and agent signals, competitive intelligence, and market trends into GTM strategy.

What you bring

  • 6–8 years of B2B marketing experience, with a meaningful share in product-led growth, developer marketing, or growth for API or platform products.

  • A record of moving self-serve numbers (activation, conversion, expansion, self-serve revenue), and you can show the before and after.

  • Real technical fluency. You can read API docs, make a call against a sandbox, find your way around an OpenAPI spec, and spot where an integration breaks.

  • Hands-on time with AI agents and coding assistants. You've used tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or MCP servers, and you have opinions on how agents choose which tools and APIs to use.

  • Experimentation and analytics chops. You design tests, read them honestly, and work in product analytics tools such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, or GA4.

  • The ability to translate complex AI and data-heavy technology into clear narratives for technical audiences without losing the nuance.

  • A track record of influencing Product, Engineering, and Sales without direct authority, and running several initiatives at once.

Bonus points

  • You've built or shipped an MCP server, llms.txt file, developer portal, or self-serve onboarding flow.

  • You've worked on usage-based pricing or self-serve packaging.

  • Experience in identity, fraud, fintech, or other regulated industries.

  • Comfort with SQL.
