About this job

The Role

We are seeking a high-caliber Manager, Business Operations to join DDN’s Business Operations & Strategy team. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role positioned at the center of DDN’s most critical strategic, operational, and corporate development initiatives.

The successful candidate will partner directly with senior leadership across a broad range of mission-critical workstreams, from driving day-to-day operational excellence to supporting corporate development efforts and long-term strategic planning.

This opportunity is ideal for an analytically rigorous, execution-oriented professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, can seamlessly shift between strategic thinking and hands-on execution, and is motivated by making a tangible impact within a high-growth technology company.

This is a unique opportunity to work alongside senior leaders and influence some of DDN’s most important strategic priorities. The role offers broad exposure across business operations, corporate development, and strategy, making it an excellent fit for candidates seeking accelerated career growth and meaningful impact within a market-leading technology company.

Key Responsibilities

Business Operations & Program Management

  • Drive cross-functional operational programs from scoping through execution, ensuring accountability for milestones, ownership, and outcomes.

  • Support the design and implementation of scalable business processes across Go-to-Market, Finance, Product, and People functions.

  • Build and maintain operating cadences (weekly, monthly, and quarterly), including meeting structures, reporting rhythms, and dashboard infrastructure.

  • Prepare high-quality materials for executive and board-level audiences, including briefings, decision memoranda, and performance reviews.

  • Identify operational gaps and recommend prioritized solutions, tracking execution and measuring business impact.

  • Serve as a key connector across functions, ensuring alignment and effective communication on strategic initiatives.

Corporate Development Support

  • Conduct research and analysis to support mergers & acquisitions (M&A), strategic partnerships, and investment opportunities.

  • Develop market maps and target-screening frameworks across DDN’s addressable markets.

  • Support post-merger integration planning and execution, including workstream coordination, synergy tracking, and stakeholder alignment.

  • Prepare deal-related materials, including executive summaries, investment theses, and diligence support packages.

  • Maintain competitive intelligence on adjacent companies and market participants relevant to DDN’s growth strategy.

Corporate Strategy

  • Contribute to annual and multi-year strategic planning processes, including market sizing, scenario modeling, and prioritization exercises.

  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to inform strategic decisions across product, go-to-market, and geographic expansion initiatives.

  • Support investor relations and fundraising activities through research, benchmarking, and narrative development.

  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics, translating findings into actionable recommendations for leadership.

  • Assist in drafting executive communications, strategic planning documents, and organizational announcements.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Background & Experience

  • Professional experience ideally within management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, business operations, or a similar strategic role.

  • Proven experience operating within high-growth technology companies, preferably in infrastructure, enterprise software, AI, or high-performance computing (HPC) markets.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting or leading corporate development initiatives, including M&A research, due diligence, and integration activities.

  • Experience managing complex cross-functional programs involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

  • Familiarity with AI infrastructure, cloud computing, or data storage markets is highly desirable.

Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional analytical capabilities, including financial modeling, market analysis, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop executive-ready materials independently.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a track record of driving initiatives forward with minimal oversight.

  • Comfortable alternating between strategic problem-solving and hands-on execution.

  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint (or Google Slides), Excel (or Google Sheets), and modern productivity tools. Experience with Salesforce, Tableau, or other business intelligence platforms is a plus.

  • Low-ego, high-impact mindset with the ability to thrive in ambiguous, rapidly evolving environments.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • MBA or advanced degree from a leading institution preferred, though exceptional candidates with equivalent professional experience will be strongly considered.
