About this job
We are looking for a Senior Manager, DC Supply Chain Leader to lead the planning functions for our Distribution Center (DC) Supply Chain. This upstream inbound fulfillment network is critical to inventory placement and to how we receive product from our selling partners and vendors, and it plays a central role in getting the right inventory to the right place at the right time.
This is a leader-of-leaders role at the center of the network's performance — accountable for both the long-term strategy and the day-to-day tactical execution of the planning organization. As the network continues to grow and evolve, the right leader will shape how it plans, replenishes, and performs at scale.
This role demands strong ownership, a bias for action, the ability to Think Big, and the judgment to make high-quality decisions in ambiguous environments. You will be expected to earn trust across a broad set of cross-functional partners and to use data rigorously to justify and defend your decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Ambiguity & Strategic Leadership
- Lead teams where problems, opportunities, and strategies may not yet be defined, bringing structure to ambiguity.
- Apply significant domain expertise and high judgment to design the right team structure, mechanisms, and strategy to meet long-term business goals for the DC Supply Chain network.
- Independently balance short-term vs. long-term decisions, defining clear goals and objectives for the planning organization.
- Develop strategic goals for organizations and large customer/partner bases where the problem space is still emerging.
Scope of Influence
- Manage other managers across potentially multiple locations — operate as a **leader of leaders**.
- Influence team priorities and broader business strategy for the inbound network.
- Lead through teaching — educate the team on the larger picture, the long-term perspective, and the context behind business choices.
- Identify future leaders, provide them challenging opportunities, and facilitate their exposure to senior management.
Execution & Problem-Solving (Planning Focus)
- Provide strategic management and align planning teams to deliver for customers across S&OP, replenishment, and capacity planning.
- Proactively identify gaps and opportunities, delegate appropriately, and mitigate risks before they become roadblocks.
- Manage significantly complex problems and decisions, decomposing them into straightforward, executable solutions.
- Create scalable, long-term mechanisms, and establish mechanisms to evaluate scope and priority across projects.
- Escalate serious risks to leadership appropriately and in a timely manner.
Team & People Management
- Ensure the right people are in the right roles, and establish audit mechanisms to verify managers are actively managing careers.
- Proactively offer career-growth conversations and lead promotion processes when employees demonstrate next-level performance.
- Build a team that delivers successfully without your direct involvement, leveraging your role for escalations and removing blockers.
Communication & Impact
- Comfortable leading and earning trust with senior (L8/L10) stakeholders, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Be accountable for OP1/OP2 goals for the planning organization.
- Set the standard for process improvements and operational excellence across the network.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of team management experience
- 5+ years of supply chain experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
