About this job
Job Description
Location:
New York, NYJoin Condé Nast as the key product manager driving revenue performance across our global advertising ecosystem with a direct-advertising first approach. In this major revenue impact role, you will build, scale, and own a plug-and-play ad revenue platform powering Vogue, GQ, Wired, and other iconic brands seamlessly across web, mobile apps, newsletters, and emerging surfaces. Your technical expertise, analytical mindset, and relentless curiosity will help leverage AI-driven tools to optimize direct campaign delivery and uncover new revenue opportunities at scale.
Your Daily Impact
- Build & Scale the Plug-and-Play Platform: Lead the management, architecture, and optimization of our plug-and-play ad stack across web, mobile apps, and newsletters, ensuring 99.9% availability of critical direct and programmatic ad paths.
- Programmatic Execution: Execute daily yield adjustments and monitor auction health to drive premium revenue across our global inventory.
- Own Your Analysis: Move beyond high-level dashboards; perform deep-dive analysis into bid density, latency, and CPM trends to identify performance bottlenecks.
- Drive Video & Format Innovation: Lead the strategy and rollout of high-growth video ad products, focusing on technical delivery and player optimization to maximize fill rates.
- Cross-functional Execution: Participate in daily engineering standups and work closely with Ad Ops to ensure 99.9% availability of critical ad paths.
- KPI Accountability: Monitor and report on key metrics: viewability (70%+ target), revenue per session, and page load impact.
Strategic Leadership
- Yield Optimization Strategy: Drive yield optimization strategies targeting revenue growth through sophisticated AI-driven price floors and automated auction mechanics.
- Direct-First Yield & Protection Tactics: Protect direct-sold commitments while running A/B tests on header bidding configurations and wrapper logic to improve competitive tension without compromising premium sponsorships.
- Strategic Partnerships: Develop partnerships alongside Advertising with strategic vendors (The Trade Desk, DV360, Amazon) to maximize demand quality.
- Product Performance: Balance site speed with revenue by optimizing ad placements and reducing "heavy" creative scripts.
- Format Innovation: Spearhead innovation in video, rich media, and native ad formats across desktop and mobile platforms.
What You Bring
- Proven Expertise: 7+ years of hands-on ad tech experience with deep expertise in programmatic advertising, yield optimization, and auction dynamics.
- Analytical Foundation: Proficiency in data and data visualization; you prefer doing your own data pulling and analysis to validate hypotheses.
- Track Record of Revenue Growth: Demonstrated history of driving measurable revenue improvements across major digital publishing platforms.
- Technical Curiosity: A passion for understanding the "plumbing" of the internet—from VAST/VPAID tags to Prebid modules and AI optimization algorithms.
- Fast-Paced Mindset: Ability to manage multiple workstreams and respond to ad delivery incidents with urgency and precision.
- Problem-Solving Skills: A track record of debugging complex delivery issues and a desire to simplify technical workflows.
Growth & Development
- Lead major initiatives affecting Condé Nast’s largest revenue stream.
- Regular exposure to executive leadership and global brand teams.
- Exposure to the latest innovations in programmatic video and AI-led yield management.
- Clear path to senior leadership roles across product and revenue organizations.
