About this job
Want to help decide when a new Prime Video experience is ready for customers in 240+ countries? The Prime Video Global Beta Team makes sure pre-release products, features and services meet a high quality bar before they go live. We put new experiences in front of real users on real devices around the world, collect their feedback on design, function and usability, and give product teams the confidence to launch.
As a Senior Program Manager on this team, you will own betas from intake to final report-out. You will work with product, engineering, UX, QA and launch teams to define what each beta needs to prove, figure out how to run it, and translate participant feedback into clear launch recommendations. You will also help the program itself grow by using data and technology to make betas faster and less manual. If you are a program manager who is comfortable bringing many teams to a single decision, we would like to hear from you.
Key job responsibilities
- Own each beta from start to finish: set objectives, define entry and exit criteria, run the beta, and deliver measurable results back to the product team.
- Run the intake and prioritization process, working with stakeholders across product, engineering, UX and QA to sort competing requests and make clear go/no-go calls.
- Dig into participant feedback and program data, spot trends and risks early, and present launch-readiness recommendations to product owners and senior leaders.
- Design the participant experience, covering sample size, surveys, communications, device setup and support, while keeping the participant pool healthy for future betas.
- Improve the program's day-to-day operations, from intake workflows and survey templates to dashboards and reporting, and explore where generative AI tools can save time without sacrificing quality.
A day in the life
You might start the morning on an intake call, helping a product team figure out whether their new feature needs a beta, a QA pass or a UX study. By midday you could be reading through survey responses from a live beta in several countries and flagging a usability issue to the feature team. In the afternoon you might work out how to split participants between two overlapping betas, then write up a report that gives leaders what they need to greenlight a launch.
About the team
The Beta team is part of Prime Video's Automation and AI organization. We are program managers and technical program managers who each own betas end to end, partnering with product, engineering and business teams across organizational lines. Over the next year we are focused on automating more of our beta operations and using generative AI to turn participant feedback into insights faster, so product teams can get answers in days rather than weeks. If you want a role where your work directly shapes the quality of what hundreds of millions of viewers see, this is a great place to be.
