About Formlabs:
Do you want to change how the world creates?
At Formlabs, we’re building the tools that make it possible for anyone to bring their ideas to life, from cutting-edge products to life-saving medical devices. Our 3D printing technology powers innovation at more than 50,000 industry leaders worldwide, including Apple, Google, Tesla, New Balance, and NASA. Together, we’re helping everyone design, prototype, and manufacture faster than ever before.
We’re a team of hands-on builders, engineers, and innovators reinventing how the world makes physical things. If you’re ready to shape the future of fabrication, come build it with us.
Your Impact:
Formlabs is hiring a Senior PR Manager to own how the press, analysts and the wider maker community see our company and products. You will plan and run earned media for product launches, company news and executive visibility, working closely with product marketing, brand, social and leadership.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead PR efforts for product launches end to end: messaging, press materials, embargoes, briefings, reviews and launch-day coverage.
- Build and run the always-on, proactive PR strategy, tied to company goals.
- Grow relationships with business, technology, design, manufacturing and trade press, plus key industry analysts.
- Collaborate on the product reviews program, getting printers and materials to reviewers and tracking coverage.
- Raise the profile of Formlabs executives through interviews, bylines, podcasts and speaking opportunities.
- Write and edit press releases, briefing documents, FAQs and Q&A prep.
- Own issues and crisis communications
- Report on share of voice, coverage quality, message pull-through and impact on traffic and pipeline.
About You:
- 8+ years in PR or communications, with at least 3 years leading programs at a tech, hardware or consumer electronics company or agency.
- A track record of top-tier coverage in national business, technology and trade media.
- Strong existing relationships with tech and business journalists.
- Experience running major product launches with embargoes, review units and global timing.
- Excellent writing and editing, with a sharp sense of what makes a story.
- Comfort explaining technical products in plain language. Curiosity about 3D printing and manufacturing is a must; prior experience is a plus.
- Ability to measure PR results and tie them to business goals.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience running influencer and creator programs, especially with YouTube, TikTok and Instagram creators in maker, design, engineering or tech.
- Relationships with creators and an understanding of how they work, from sponsored content and gifting to long-term ambassador partnerships.
- Familiarity with media monitoring and influencer tools.
Our Benefits & Perks:
- Robust equity program to build future wealth through RSUs
- Comprehensive healthcare coverage (Medical, Dental, Vision)
- 401K matching and access to financial advisors
- Generous paid Parental Leave (up to 16 weeks)
- Tenure-based paid Sabbatical Leave (up to 6 weeks)
- Flexible Out of Office Plan – Take time when you need it
- Ample on-site parking & pre-tax commuter benefits
- Healthy on-site lunches, snacks, beverages, & treats
- Regular sponsored professional development opportunities
- Many opt-in culture events across our diverse community
- And of course… unlimited 3D prints
