The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Senior Technical Scrum Master/Agile Coach to join a fast-paced team supporting the CURFEW contract. The work spans operations and maintenance (O&M) for the production system, designing and delivering new features, and improving stability while reducing a significant amount of technical debt. The program is mature in its operations but relatively new to agile, so the team is still working through lessons learned and iterating on how it works. In this role, you'll facilitate Scrum events, coach teams and leaders on agile practices, and remove the impediments that slow delivery, balancing urgent operational needs against planned feature work. You'll work closely with product owners and engineering leads, using your technical background to understand architecture, dependencies, and risks in a system that users depend on. This is an opportunity to help a team build greater agile maturity in a real operational environment while setting the standard for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:
We're looking for a Senior Technical Scrum Master and Agile Coach to help our product and engineering teams deliver value predictably and sustainably. You'll coach teams and leaders, strengthen our agile practices, and help us continuously improve how we build software.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Agile product teams in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) organization
  • Facilitate Scrum events (sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, retrospectives), PI planning, and help teams run them effectively
  • Coach Agile Champions, product owners, and engineering teams on agile principles, practices, and continuous improvement
  • Identify and remove impediments that slow teams down, escalating cross-team issues when needed
  • Coach leaders on agile ways of working, decision-making, and organizational alignment
  • Track and communicate delivery metrics (e.g., velocity, cycle time, throughput, predictability) and use them to drive improvement
  • Help build psychological safety, healthy team dynamics, and a culture of experimentation and learning
  • Contribute to the design and rollout of scaled agile practices across multiple teams
  • Provide strategic technical leadership ensuring alignment with client needs and program goals
  • Supports program leadership in conducting release planning, system design and system implementation as needed
  • Responsible for team performance to include delivery of documented deliverables
  • Facilitates team communications and updates Program Manager and stakeholders; prepares briefings on product status

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Must have 8+ years of experience in agile delivery, with at least 3 years as a Scrum Master or agile coach
  • Must have Scrum Master Certification
  • Current TS/SCI
  • 3+ years’ experience managing IT projects using either Agile Scrum or Kanban methodologies
  • 3+ years’ experience in software development, software engineering and/or IT system and network architecture supporting enterprise-wide IT solutions
  • Must have experience with (tools, e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment; working with others to meet aggressive time-based goals and high-quality standards
  • Typically has a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years of related work experience.
  • Deep working knowledge of Scrum and at least one other framework or practice (e.g., Kanban, SAFe, Lean)
  • Proven experience coaching teams and leaders through agile adoption or improvement
  • Solid technical background in software development, systems, or engineering (hands-on experience preferred)
  • Strong facilitation skills, with the ability to guide productive discussions and resolve conflict

Desired:

  • Experience with SAFe
  • Advanced agile coaching certification (e.g., ICP-ACC, PMI-ACP, SAFe Agilist, or similar)
  • Experience scaling agile across multiple teams or departments
  • Current TS/SCI with Poly is preferred
