About this job

We are seeking a talented leader with strong technical background to join our Customer Experience Products organization on the Amazon Customer service (CS) Knowledge team. In this role, you will be reimagining how we create and manage content in a Native AI-world, distilling long-form CS help articles, policies, and standard operating procedures to their core underlying facts ('Knowledge Artifacts'). You will have the opportunity to work across the team as we build the foundation that powers customer service experiences across Amazon. This role will give you the chance to tackle challenges that influence millions of customers, sellers, and products around the world.

Key job responsibilities

  • Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
  • Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
  • Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.
  • Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
  • Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.

A day in the life

As a Software Development Engineer, you'll help build products that impact critical customer experiences. You'll tackle complex technical initiatives head-on, building high-quality, scalable systems that serve our global customer base. Join our team to help build the foundation that powers customer service experiences across Amazon.
