What You’ll Do

Lead Strategic Accounts

  • Own the commercial relationship with assigned accounts, coordinating engagement across business units and geographies as needed.
  • Build trusted relationships with executives and leaders across security, networking, infrastructure, cloud, and application teams.
  • Develop account plans that reflect customer priorities, technology investments, stakeholder relationships, and purchasing processes.
  • Drive executive engagement and business reviews to demonstrate value and identify growth opportunities.

Grow F5’s Business

  • Identify and advance opportunities across application delivery and security, including load balancing, web application and API protection, DDoS mitigation, bot defense, and automation.
  • Partner with technical experts to translate customer requirements into solution recommendations, technical validation plans, and business cases.
  • Lead complex sales cycles, including discovery, competitive positioning, proposals, negotiations, and procurement.
  • Expand F5’s presence across customer applications, workloads, and business units while supporting renewals and long-term customer value.

Activate the F5 Ecosystem

  • Coordinate cross-functional F5 resources to support account strategy, opportunity execution, and customer success.
  • Develop joint opportunities with channel partners, including value-added resellers, systems integrators, service providers, and distributors.
  • Engage cloud and technology alliance partners where relevant to the customer’s architecture and purchasing strategy.
  • Align internal teams and partners around clear customer outcomes, responsibilities, and milestones.

Execute with Discipline

  • Maintain a qualified pipeline, accurate forecasts, and current account and opportunity records in Salesforce.
  • Manage opportunity risks, stakeholder alignment, and customer-agreed close plans.
  • Stay informed about cybersecurity threats, application modernization, cloud adoption, competitive developments, and relevant regulatory requirements.

What You Bring

Required

  • 8+ years of relevant enterprise technology sales or strategic account management experience, including quota ownership.
  • A demonstrated record of achieving revenue goals and growing large, complex accounts.
  • Experience leading multi-stakeholder sales cycles and navigating executive, technical, legal, and procurement requirements.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, presentation, and executive relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional account teams and collaborate effectively with channel partners.
  • Strong account planning, pipeline management, and forecasting discipline.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred

  • Experience selling application delivery, cybersecurity, networking, or cloud infrastructure solutions.
  • Familiarity with F5 BIG-IP, F5 NGINX, or F5 Distributed Cloud Services.
  • Working knowledge of DNS, HTTP/S, TLS, load balancing, web application firewalls, API security, and DDoS protection.
  • Understanding of hybrid and multicloud environments, containers, Kubernetes, and application modernization.
  • Experience with software subscriptions, enterprise agreements, renewals, and account expansion.

Working Requirements

  • Ability to support assigned accounts and collaborate effectively across locations, consistent with applicable F5 work arrangements.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for customer meetings, partner engagements, and business activities.
