Headline numbers

What "states pay" means here

  • A posting states pay when any pay figure appears on it, in any currency or period, hourly included. This covers all 625,931 open postings on the boards we monitor, whatever they pay.
  • Of the 225,541 that state pay, 64,604 are published here: an annual base of $100K or more that passed our checks.
  • A disclosure rate is not a compliance rate. Laws differ in who they cover, from when, and for which postings. We do not judge any posting against a law.
  • Law states (pay required in postings), as of Oct 24, 2026: California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington. On request: Connecticut, Nevada, Rhode Island.

What this does not tell you

  • What anyone is paid. A range is an advertisement. Where an offer lands inside it is not something job postings show.
  • The whole job market. Every posting in the pay statistics has a floor of $100K or more, so the sample is selected upward by design. Postings below $100K, and jobs with no posted pay, are not in them.
  • Hiring. A posting removed from a board may have been filled, paused, moved or cancelled. We only see that it was removed.
  • Employers we do not read. Companies that do not publish pay, or whose boards we do not monitor, are absent.
  • Long trends. Pay statistics are tracked since Oct 24, 2026 and posting flow since Oct 6, 2026. Every trend shows its start date.
