About this job
Amazon is hiring an experienced Analytics Manager for the Amazon News website (AboutAmazon.com) and email newsletter program. As an Analytics Manager you will be responsible for analyzing content and channel performance to unlock insights that drive strategic business decisions.
You will analyze performance and identify key metrics, support content creation, and make data-driven recommendations that help shape our editorial strategy. This role requires deep analytics knowledge, critical thinking and problem solving skills, understanding of website and email content strategies, and the ability to work cross-functionally with editorial, communications, and technical teams across a global organization. This person must also be able to partner with business leaders and be able to develop tactics to drive business goals, engagement, and reach. The ideal candidate is analytical, curious about AI, an effective storyteller, and thinks about content first — diving into data to identify content opportunities and translating insights into actionable editorial guidance.
This role is part of the Amazon News team, which sits within Amazon’s Communications & Corporate Responsibility org. Amazon News serves as the first and most trusted source of news and information about Amazon for external audiences. We help customers understand what Amazon is doing globally — from fostering a great workplace and driving innovation to supporting small business and sustainability. We tell the larger story of who Amazon is through compelling content on AboutAmazon.com and our off-platform distribution channels such as our email newsletter.
This is an individual contributor role based in New York, NY.
Key job responsibilities
- Own the reporting for the global Amazon News website and Amazon News email newsletter program.
- Develop weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports for Amazon News, including key performance metrics and insights tailored for leadership, peer teams, and communications partners.
- Develop quarterly deep-dive reports for vertical specific content.
- Translate key business questions related to audience, content, or channel into research and analysis, defining the sets of data required for each project.
- Counsel editorial team on how to tell a story with data and which metrics to prioritize.
- Work closely with editorial teams to develop and implement initiatives that maximize organic engagement for both new and evergreen stories.
- Use AI tools to accelerate and scale analytics work, such as building and automating dashboards, reporting, and other data workflows.
- Partner with technical leads to develop data products, improve reporting infrastructure, and implement analytics fixes to make data self-serve and scalable.
- Support team’s goal setting and tracking program by tracking team progress towards goals and advising on KPIs that will most effectively and accurately measure the impact of content and channels.
- Work cross-functionally with other analytics, reporting, and research teams to develop and share best practices and learnings, define and refine benchmarks, and develop best-in-class insights.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to implement scalable solutions, including data pipelines and data lake integrations, based on data insights from multiple sources and across multiple channels.
- Be resourceful and creative to overcome obstacles and turn challenges into opportunities.
- Stay current on industry trends, competitor techniques, AI developments, and best practices across data analytics.

- Experience with Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) tools (e.g. Profound, ScrunchAI, Writesonic) — including tracking and optimizing content visibility in AI-powered tools and LLMs.
