About this job

At Maersk, we are continuing an industry-defining transformation — evolving into a truly integrated, end-to-end logistics provider. Central to this journey is building a best-in-class commercial engine, powered by strong data, clear insights, and aligned decision-making across Sales, Product, and Finance.

The Senior Commercial Insights Manager plays a critical role in shaping how commercial leaders understand performance, manage pipelines, and set direction. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives at the intersection of data, strategy, and senior stakeholder partnership.

We Offer

Maersk is a global leader in integrated logistics, with more than a century of industry leadership. Through innovation and transformation, we are redefining how global trade works — setting new standards for efficiency, transparency, and customer value.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence senior commercial and product leaders, help define “what good looks like” across our sales organization, and build scalable insights that shape regional and global decisions. You will gain deep exposure to sales performance management, product strategy, and financial planning — while developing a strong leadership profile within the Commercial organization.

About the Role

The Senior Commercial Insights Manager is part of the Sales Performance and Pipeline Management team within the Commercial organization. The role acts as a strategic partner to senior Sales, Product, and Finance leaders, providing clarity, direction, and fact-based insights to drive performance and growth.

Working closely with Regional and Headquarters Sales, Product, and Finance teams, the role strengthens the commercial operating model by building a single source of truth on sales and pipeline performance, improving budgeting and forecasting processes, and enabling data-driven decision-making at the leadership level.

As a trusted advisor to Sales Leadership Teams (SLT), this role helps translate complex commercial data into actionable insights that guide priorities, performance management, and strategic choices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Sales Performance & Commercial Insights
  • Partner closely with senior Sales and Product leaders to support data-driven commercial decisions, acting as a trusted thought partner and direction setter.
  • Own and evolve sales performance and pipeline insights, ensuring clear visibility on trends, risks, and opportunities across regions and products.
  • Translate complex sales, pipeline, and market data into clear, leadership-ready insights that inform priorities and actions.
  • Elevate Data Quality and Governance
  • Drive higher data quality and accountability across Sales, Sales Management, and Product.
  • Define clear guidelines and expectations for data accuracy and usage to enable reliable performance management and insights.
  • Balance insight depth with sales usability, ensuring reporting and data requests remain fit-for-purpose and value-adding.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial insights, sales performance, strategy, finance, or a related commercial role.
  • Strong understanding of sales performance management, pipeline dynamics, and commercial operating models.
  • Proven ability to partner with senior Sales and Product leaders and influence decisions through data and insights.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable leadership insights.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working across regions and functions without direct authority.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving structure, clarity, and alignment.
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce) and commercial performance reporting; PowerBI experience is a plus.
