About this job
About the Role
Join a small team building an AI-driven B2B pricing and monetization platform. You will own product modules end to end, shape the technical architecture, and work directly with customers and product leadership to deliver reliable features for pricing workflows.
What You'll Do
Scope product needs with customers, design versioned APIs, build user interfaces, and ship complete product modules.
Design and evolve agent-enabled systems across conversational interfaces, web applications, command-line tools, and vendor integrations.
Make product capabilities usable by LLM agents through agent tooling and conversational interfaces.
Move pricing and business logic into backend services to protect financial accuracy.
Extend typed pricing data models and maintain robust APIs.
Lead technical discussions and establish testing, observability, deployment, security, and performance practices.
Investigate production issues, mentor teammates, and improve engineering practices for AI-assisted development.
What We're Looking For
At least 8 years of software engineering experience, including staff-level ownership of product areas at startups.
Strong backend experience with Python, FastAPI, and MongoDB or a comparable stack, plus credible React and TypeScript skills and the ability to build polished interfaces independently.
Experience taking ambiguous customer problems from discovery through delivery, including versioned APIs, data models, and production operations.
Experience integrating AI features or agent-driven workflows; MCP-like tooling experience is a plus.
Familiarity with B2B SaaS monetization, such as pricing, packaging, quoting, billing, or CPQ.
High standards for correctness in financial logic and authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $200,000 to $250,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
On-site in San Francisco, California. Candidates must be based in San Francisco or willing and able to relocate.
