About this job
About the Role
Join an early-stage SaaS team building AI tools for industrial ingredient manufacturers. You will work closely with the founding team, owning products end to end, from customer discovery to shipped software across backend systems, AI agents, frontend, and infrastructure.
What You'll Do
Speak with manufacturers to understand their workflows and translate customer needs into product improvements.
Build backend systems that ingest and process documents from customer ERPs and inboxes.
Develop AI agents that help complete complex food safety and compliance documents.
Own features across the full stack, from defining problems and building user interfaces to shipping and iterating based on feedback.
Move quickly, make pragmatic technical decisions, and take on emerging product and engineering needs.
What We're Looking For
At least 4 years of professional experience, including substantial hands-on software engineering and production coding.
Experience as a product manager who transitioned into engineering, or as a sole or first product engineer with end-to-end ownership of product discovery, development, launch, and iteration.
A record of shipping products or major features used by real customers, with the ability to explain technical and product tradeoffs.
Strong full-stack skills, including backend services, frontend development, and relational database design such as PostgreSQL.
Experience with Kotlin and Spring Boot or another JVM backend, plus React and Next.js, is relevant.
Production experience with AI or LLM products, agents, search, RAG, document processing, or unstructured data extraction is a plus.
Experience with GCP or another major cloud platform is helpful. Familiarity with food manufacturing, supply chains, or other traditional industrial sectors is also a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary is $180,000 to $250,000 annually, plus 0.5% to 1.5% equity. Visa sponsorship is not available.
