Position Overview

Autodesk is seeking an experienced Director to build and lead the solution marketing function for Autodesk Forma and its role in transforming the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) industry. This leader will shape how customers, partners, analysts, and employees understand Autodesk's end-to-end solution for AEC, articulating our unique platform strategy through a compelling narrative that resonates across the entire Design and Make lifecycle.

Working closely with, and reporting to, the Vice President of AEC Marketing, you will partner across Product, Strategy, Sales and Go-to-Market (GTM), Customer Success, Industry Marketing, and Corporate Marketing to develop positioning that differentiates Autodesk through new business capabilities and outcomes, not individual products. You will lead a high-performing team responsible for end-to-end solution positioning, messaging, launches, thought leadership, competitive strategy, and customer storytelling.

Responsibilities

  • Define the long-term market narrative for Autodesk Forma as a strategic solution connecting design, planning, construction, and operations
  • Develop differentiated messaging that ladders to the Design and Make intelligence category
  • Partner with Product Management and Strategy to influence roadmap discussions and translate innovation into customer value
  • Create executive-ready messaging, keynote content, customer stories, analyst presentations, and sales enablement that elevate Autodesk's leadership in AEC
  • Lead competitive programs that emphasizes Autodesk's unique strengths while anticipating shifts in market dynamics and customer expectations
  • Establish clear frameworks for communicating complex platform capabilities, across experience, data management and AI workflows
  • Build and mentor a world-class solution marketing organization with a strong culture of customer obsession, strategic thinking, and operational excellence

Minimum Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in enterprise software product marketing or solution marketing, including leadership of high-performing global teams
  • Experience developing category-level narratives that shift market perception and establish strategic differentiation
  • Demonstrated success bringing platform technologies, cloud solutions, AI capabilities, and digital transformation initiatives to market
  • Strong executive communication skills with experience presenting to customers, analysts, partners, and senior leadership
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional organizations without direct authority
  • Experience partnering closely with Product Management, Engineering, Design, Sales, and Customer Success organizations
  • Exceptional storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex technologies into compelling business outcomes
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud platforms, AI workflows, and connected data ecosystems
  • Deep experience helping organizations transition from product-centric to solution-led marketing and selling
  • Experience in shaping solution-level categories and influencing analyst perspectives
  • Passion for helping customers transform the way the built world is designed, built, and operated
