You will partner with the AI Center of Excellence, business, product, engineering, legal, risk, and compliance teams to align legal requirements with how AI is developed, deployed, and governed. Your work will help operationalize privacy and AI governance, support responsible innovation, and strengthen compliance across products, operations, and client engagements.

What you'll do:

  • Advise business, product, engineering, legal, risk, and compliance stakeholders on AI, data, and privacy laws, including the Colorado AI Act, European Union Artificial Intelligence Act, General Data Protection Regulation, California Consumer Privacy Act, California Privacy Rights Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and related regulatory requirements
  • Partner with the AI Center of Excellence to review, document, and support approval of artificial intelligence, generative artificial intelligence, and agentic artificial intelligence use cases, including risk categorization, required safeguards, and approval conditions
  • Assess Fiserv’s compliance posture under applicable AI and privacy laws and help build scalable governance processes, documentation standards, monitoring approaches, and reporting practices that evidence compliance
  • Draft, review, and negotiate data privacy addendum including AI related provisions with clients and vendors, including data usage, licensing, security, privacy, model output, audit, compliance, transfer, and protection terms
  • Participate in client-facing meetings and vendor negotiations on privacy, data, AI, and governance matters
  • Develop and maintain governance policies, notices, procedures, training materials, and tools that support accountability and consistent enterprise practices
  • Monitor developments in AI and privacy laws, regulatory guidance, and enforcement trends and translate impacts into practical recommendations for internal stakeholders
  • Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary.

Experience you'll need to have:

  • 6+ years of experience practicing law with substantial focus on privacy, data protection, AI governance, technology transactions, or related regulatory counseling
  • Experience advising on global privacy laws and frameworks, including General Data Protection Regulation, California Consumer Privacy Act, California Privacy Rights Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Colorado AI Act, European Union Artificial Intelligence Act or similar regulations
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements involving data use, licensing, technology services, vendor management, or AI and privacy-related contractual terms
  • Experience supporting banks, financial technology companies, card networks, payments companies, or equivalent law firm clients in regulated environments
  • Experience applying privacy by design to complex products and services
  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction in good standing or equivalent legal authorization where applicable
  • Juris Doctor or Master of Laws from an accredited law school or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Experience advising on global AI regulations
  • Experience supporting enterprise AI governance programs, AI use case review, or responsible AI risk management initiatives
  • Familiarity with the National Institute of Standards and Technology Artificial Intelligence Risk Management Framework
  • Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States, Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional, or equivalent privacy or AI governance certification

How you'll work:

  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
  • This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.

Individuals with temporary visas including, but not limited to, F-1 (OPT, CPT, STEM), H-1B, H-2, or TN, or any candidate requiring sponsorship, now or in the future, will not be considered for this role.
