About this job
The Senior Content Marketing Manager sits within the Global Content & Creative Studio on the Amazon Ads Marketing team. We are seeking a versatile, AI-forward content marketer who combines exceptional writing and storytelling skills with strong program management capabilities to drive our brand content strategy at scale. In this highly cross-functional role, you'll be responsible for both creating compelling content—leveraging AI tools—and program managing the production of content through agencies and third-party publishers. You will also may partner with the Event Content and Programming team to support the development and delivery of event content, contributing strategic content expertise to select moments across our global events portfolio.
This role is uniquely positioned at the intersection of content creation and content operations. You will translate brand strategy and narrative-driven messaging frameworks into customer-facing content while simultaneously building and managing the systems, partnerships, and workflows that enable content production at scale. On occasion, this extends to event-specific deliverables—such as scripts, speaker narratives, and programming content—where your storytelling ability and operational rigor will help ensure a consistent, customer-obsessed brand voice across channels and stages alike.
Key job responsibilities
Translate narrative-driven messaging frameworks into compelling website editorial content across all funnel stages and customer cohorts (Enterprise, SMB, Agency)
Write and deliver thought leadership content — including articles, sponsored content, case studies, video scripts, event scripts, research narratives, guides, and blog posts other formats that drive brand awareness and shift perceptions through data-driven storytelling
Program manage end-to-end production of branded/sponsored content initiatives with premium third-party publishers, from ideation through execution
Leverage AI tools (e.g., generative AI platforms, AI writing assistants, custom AI agents) as a core part of the content creation workflow to increase messaging consistency and scale content output. Champion and scale best practices across the organization.
Serve as a brand guardian and content quality bar raiser, ensuring all content—whether created internally, by AI tools, or by external partners—meets Amazon Ads editorial standards and brand guidelines
Develop and implement governance frameworks, content standards, and operational processes to ensure consistency across brand touchpoints
Develop and maintain a content calendar that balances always-on content needs with campaign-driven initiatives and emerging opportunities
Flex into event content as needed — ideating, developing, and delivering event content in partnership with the Event Content and Programming team. This involves aligning on the content strategy, partnering with stakeholders (Product Marketing, PR, etc.) to obtain inputs, crafting a script or discussion guide, and working with speakers to ensure a compelling delivery.
A day in the life
The day-to-day of this role blends hands-on content creation with strategic program management — and at key moments throughout the year, event content production. You might start your morning using AI tools to draft a thought leadership article based on a brand narrative brief, then shift to reviewing sponsored content deliverables from a publisher partner against brand guidelines. After lunch, you could be leading a cross-functional alignment meeting on messaging consistency, followed by optimizing your AI content workflows based on performance data. During event production cycles, your focus may shift to collaborating with an executive speaker on a keynote script, working with stakeholder teams to identify the right customer stories and product narratives to bring on stage, or reviewing visual creative to ensure it reinforces the session's storyline. You'll regularly context-switch between writing compelling copy with AI assistance, managing external partner timelines and deliverables, evangelizing brand narratives to stakeholder teams, and experimenting with new ways to push content quality and velocity.
To be successful, you will need to establish clear processes, set prioritization, and communicate effectively with internal and external customers. The right candidate will be a self-starter who is deeply curious about AI's potential to transform content marketing, has strong interpersonal and project management skills, and maintains an extremely high bar for content quality.
