About this job
About Airwallex
Airwallex is the AI-native financial operating system for a real-time, intelligent economy. More than 675,000 businesses, including McLaren Racing, Qantas, SHEIN, and TikTok, use us, directly or through our platform partners, to run their financial operations or build and monetize financial products of their own.
We started in Melbourne in 2015 to build the infrastructure global commerce runs on. We're the regulated backbone behind global payments: not by accident, but by design. A decade plus, 85+ licenses, and a financial infrastructure spanning North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
We're co-headquartered in San Francisco and Singapore, with more than 2,700 people across 27 offices. We hire builders with founder-level energy, people who move fast with good judgment, dig in with real curiosity, and make calls from first principles rather than waiting to be told what to do. Read our operating principles to see it in full.
How you'll make impact
Airwallex is scaling its technology teams, and you'll help shape the talent strategy and hiring decisions that support that growth. You'll partner closely with senior leaders, bring market insight to complex searches, and deliver a strong experience for candidates and hiring teams.
Partner with senior technology leaders to define hiring needs, align on priorities, and shape talent strategies for Airwallex’s technology teams.
Attract exceptional technical talent by designing and executing creative sourcing strategies for niche, senior-level, and hard-to-fill roles.
Own the full recruitment lifecycle, from outreach and candidate assessment through stakeholder alignment and offer, while delivering a strong candidate and hiring-manager experience.
Use recruiting metrics, market insights, and pipeline data to influence decisions, improve hiring efficiency, and maintain a high hiring bar.
Strengthen hiring quality by supporting interviewer calibration, sharing recruiting best practices, and helping build Airwallex’s employer brand.
You'll work from our San Francisco office three days a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
What we're looking for
Essentials
7+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including 2+ years in an in-house recruiting environment.
Deep expertise recruiting for technology, engineering, or other highly technical roles.
A track record of hiring strong technical talent across levels, from entry-level through Director.
Experience partnering with and influencing senior technology leaders on hiring strategy, priorities, and decisions.
Strong sourcing skills, including experience engaging niche and senior-level candidates.
Experience using recruiting metrics and market insights to inform decisions and improve hiring outcomes.
The ability to work in a scaling environment while maintaining accuracy, judgment, and attention to detail.
Preferred
Experience recruiting in a high-growth technology company, fintech, payments company, or other complex and regulated environment.
Experience improving interviewer calibration, hiring practices, or employer-brand initiatives.
Experience hiring across multiple technology disciplines and geographies.
You'll thrive here if
You're comfortable owning the roadmap yourself.
You own the outcome and you don't wait for permission to fix what's broken.
You're comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and moving quickly anyway.
You enjoy working closely with people across multiple countries and time zones as part of one connected, global team, including flexing your hours occasionally to make that connection work.
You say what you mean. You're direct, but you lead with respect.
